Spearheaded by L'Ame Imortelle musician Thomas Rainer, Nachtmahr is the missing link between merciless, provocative Industrial and the hammering power of Techno. The first release “Kunst ist Krieg (art is war)” and it’s club hit “BoomBoomBoom” instantly conquered the dancefloors and earned the band a slot on the soundtrack of the American block-buster movie SAW 4

Nachtmahr is much more than aggressive music for outcasts. It’s militant image and in-your-face lyrics might seem provocative in the first place, but as you dive deeper into the dark and sinister world of the Austrian project you discover the approaches towards modern society and it’s sicknesses. Even on the dancefloor there is room to think about all our daily nightmares.

Alter Der Ruine

Alter Der Ruine is sure to appeal to fans of fellow North American power noise acts like Manufactura, Terrofakt and Caustic. Like their contemporaries, this Arizona quartet dials down the abrasive feedback and brings in elements of industrial and techno without sacrificing power noise's signature bass-heavy kicks, high- tempo snares, blunted bass drums, acidic synth loops, thudding rhythms and aggressive samples. All anger all the time makes Jack a dull boy, and Alter Der Ruine also utilizes humor in their songs sampling early Cold War-era filmstrips and borrowing lines from The 40-Year-Old Virgin. There's also a marked lack of aversion to melody - a pleasant departure from generic power noise, that finds the act utilizing hard trance-inspired synth lines for a cleaner, more futuristic sound.

Fans of Combichrist, Noisuf-X, Modulate, Terrorfakt should not miss this show!!!
