Being called antisocial

Its a difficult call to decide how to split up your "free social time". You can end up focusing so much on just one or two people you ignore everyone else, or you can end up spreading yourself so thin you are perceived as neglecting people. Its hard to decide what to do , especially if you are trying to make a large number of people happy. It can be frustrating. Add to that , having a very limited amount of free time? Just gets more difficult.

Depending on the perspective of the people your referring to they could perceive you as being very social , or not social at all. Life is messy as always. =)

i was just thinking about this again today... and if i had to choose between "labeled" anti-social and super social i would rather be considered anti. i know that i am not,i am just more quiet/reserved. the people i know who are SUPER social are usually attention whores and they are annoying.  :whistling

Wow. I live 7 miles from anyhting resembling a village. I can;t see my closest neighbor from my yard. Yet, I know everyone who lives with in 10 miles of my house. I'll talk with anyone who will talk to me. I will grant that most people are stupid, but I'm not an intellectual bigot. I'll just use smaller words. I like people. If it were not for people, what would we laugh at? When I do go to town, people wave at me. I get stopped in the store by people almost every time I go in. I am one of those people that seems to know everyone. Not everyone has a life story worthy of an epic novel, but everyone has a story worth telling.

People are stupid, thats why I'm anti-social. But I guess when you need contact with other humans that beggers can't be choosers.

Over the years I've learned to become more tolerant, and that everyone has some bennifit to society usually. But every now and then I see a pile of wasted matter and I can't help but think how they really need to die, and the world would really be a better place without them. Everyone has a place, for some it's in the ground.

But then you have to wonder if they're screwing up someone's afterlife.

What really sucks is being anti-social and working a job where you have to deal with random people on a daily basis..

Look forward to meeting the smart lady behind the posts.  When ya coming?

Aw - sweet of you to say & ask.

When are we coming... leaving that open now. Recent changes in the husband's company have opened a possible door of opportunity as far as staying with the same company, but working in Michigan. But it's one of those "delicate situations that need time to play out". That alone could set us back to late summer/early fall.

Also, we decided it's in our best interest to buy a 2nd car/van and sell my husband's motorcycle NOW. So that'll empty our savings once again and set us back to the start line - just when we had about 1/3rd of the $$ we need saved up.

Gotta do what we gotta do to do this as smart & carefully as possible. Unfortunately, that means it'll take longer for us to get there.

All I can add is that we will NOT be spending another Christmas in NC. That's the best I can estimate.
