Tres bien. Merci.

(My French actually sucks bad. So bad, that when I knew I had failed miserably on my Intro class exam, I actually wrote "I know I failed this. But if I can sing the first verse of 'Sur Le Pont d'Avignon', can I get extra credit?" All I earned was a smile from the professor and the expected F.)

(Oh, and I can sing the first verse. Thank you. Drive through.)

C'est la vie.

Bien sur...

My french sucks too, I learned as a very young child when that's all that was spoken in the house... It comes out if I'm immersed in it.. Like going to Montreal...

Damn... and I was hoping to make a killing on the NYSE.. =(

Hey - so long as you can ask, "Ou est la double-vay-say?" the most important stuff is covered, no? (excuse mispellings - I learned that one in high school many a year ago.)

I think I STILL have my Highschool French books... or maybe I pitched them in the last purge ... *shrugs*

Not to keep dragging this out, but I picked up my exact high school book from a yard sale last year.

I mean to brush-up sometime. It wasn't until I'd actually been out of classes for a year or so that suddenly the logic of the conjugations just suddenly made sense to me.

Though, I really should learn either Polish (the language of my family) or Italian - so I can sing along with some of my favorite Dean Martin songs.

Comma bella cella luna, brille strete, yadda yadda yadda, Volare.
