What's on your desk (besides computer equipment)?

Piles of paperwork ... piled on my desk and atop my printer/scanner/copier .... I clean it and a couple days later it looks like this again.

Everything is on my desk.

Calculators, pens, iPhone/iPod cords, external speakers, stapler, slinky, notepads, Sony MicroVault USB thumbdrive, lotion, Tums, My daughter's ATM card, several post-it notes stuck to the side of my printer, checkbook, various bills, Boy Scout stuff and books, Girl Scout books and stuff, the kids school pictures that came this week, WCC paperwork, a couple kids books, a clipboard (or two -- can't really tell), U of M paperwork, kids school papers, my daughter's broken cell phone (she can't find the charger and the screen won't shut off), a cordless laptop mouse, a Sharpie pen, a chinese fan, my digital recorder, hand sanitizer, various McDonald's kids meal toys, calendar, court files, work papers, my Sony digicam, some desk organizers, that evidently don't work as well as I had hoped ... and my Apple MacBook.

.... and that's just what I can SEE.

Maybe I'll take a picture tomorrow and post it.

This is what it USUALLY looks like, when it's clean:

That's when I had both laptops, the Toshiba has since died, I only use the MacBook now ... and I have an even bigger printer/copier/scanner machine.

Uhmm...lemme see, what do I have here, I have: A stapler, roll of toilet paper (I get lazy when it comes to urinating, never make it to the bathroom on time....okay okay, in all seriousness I have a cold), a calculator, coffee, post its, actually I just found out I have two staplers, my keys, some Lysol disinfectant spray, a little fan, paper clips...and that is all.

I keep meaning to mention..

The colour of your office is very unusual, Rayne!

LoL, that's actually my front living room. My desk is in the corner, actually, in the very same spot Brenda's husband married us. :) There's some furniture in here too ... I have a small table next to my desk with my fax machine. I hope to get a file cabinet in here sometime soon ... that would cut down on the clutter of court papers all over my desk. Files are all over. There's a small bookcase, a coat rack and a whole lot of dog toys on the floor.

(We also have another living room in the back of the house that is blue, that has more furniture, a larger bookcase and the entertainment center with the tv and video game systems).

The interior colours of my house are very bright and vibrant. I like it a lot.

A quick look through the front living room, to the back living room, through the kitchen and into the dining room/studio.

All white celiings. Red, blue, more blue and green. The entry way is yellow. The boys room is primed ... but I have no idea what colour to paint it yet ... the girls room is bright purple and our room is a tan-purple colour with white.

colours.jpg

(A little cluttered, I'm sorting and folding laundry on the couch in the back).

All the floors in the main part of the house are a beautiful wood. :) In the back addition it's all tiled. Our house was built in 1908, the addition was put on the back in 2002.

Now I can see things more clearly ... like a plastic Chihuahua from Taco Bell that all my kids have teethed on and they call "Nog", a bottle of Pamprin, a glass rose, a money figure with a necklace in it, my Tinkerbell watch, My Dragon/Donkey baby from Shrek, a tube of Juniper Breeze lotion from bath and Body Works, stamps, a hairtie, tons of court files on my printer, my son's cub scout books, a washcloth, My pink iPod, some other stuff I could see and already named, some dust ....

The big red thing is my MacBook. It's white with a red hardshell plastic case.

And currently one of my cell phones and a Mountain Dew. :)
