I don't know what's going on for sure either. Read Mean Salley's posts in the thread. I think he and Rev. want to meet at the Middle Eastern restaurant next door.

...I don't know...I'm NOT eating alone...

..& it would seem everyone wants the raw fish...

SO..if she can get a ride..(& haz $)..O_M_G will be down to grind some sushi...I will just stay home with Jr.Goat.....

Excuse me everyone, excuse me ... EXCUSE ME!

Thank you. Now that I have your attention, sushi is not raw fish. I will not eat raw fish. I will not eat it in a house. I will not eat it with a mouse. I won't eat anything slimy, tentically, eelish, or anything that looks like it will crawl off my plate. There is plenty of sushi made with smoked salmon and cooked tuna and shrimp. There's even some sushi that doesn't have any seafood in it at all. So throw all your preconceived notions aside and join us for an artistic presentation of otherwise normal food.

I go vegetarian now & again (as a cleansing)...but I do not trust THEM...THEY like to feed you the raw...

...& I'm not ever sure WHO..THEY are...but THEY are out there...I can feel THEM.

Actually the reason why Sushi is so much better or "fresher" in Japan, is because in the U.S., the Sushi vendors are made to put the fish into a deep freeze for 24 hours. After which period, they may put the fish into your food.

THUS killing any bacteria and lowering the risk of food borne illness outbreaks. Fish treated this way kills more germs than cooking, so essentially the Sushi that you eat at a Sushi restaurant, is safer than the beef you get at steak restaurants.

And that is all for this public service announcement.

So you may just have to watch out for ill treated rice, that may not be kept at the proper temperature. BUT My friend who's a food sanitation supervisor (boss to the public health inspectors that go running around from restaurant to restaurant)/former food safety standards writer for NSF (if you work in the food industry you know who they are) told me that if they submit their rice recipe (because of the use of vinegar a food preserving agent) they may be able to allow them to store the rice at lesser temperatures.
