IsleofRhodesEnt
for the metal heads among us Arch Enemy Flyleaf For the detroit natives. Relik and I can't remember the name of the band..but this chick Aziza is REALLY good also..if you caught 2nd System back when Troll and Megan were in it..that was a POWERHOUSE group...like Orgy meets Lacuna Coil for the jazzy lovers Dana Owens (better known as Queen Latifah...don't laugh...she's got some INSANE cords) Danielle Brisbois (you can hear her stuff on "As Good as it Gets") Josephine Cronholm ("if I apologized" was on the "Mirrormask" soundtrack)
SaGa
I must be getting mellowed out as time goes by. I used to listen to heavy metal, death metal, gloom, etc for such a long time. Now I am getting into the Gothic, Dark Wave, Electro bands that have female singers like Chiasm, Collide, Lacuna Coil, Mephisto Waltz and others. I like the beauty & beast singing of bands like Lacuna Coil and older Theatre of Tragedy. What other bands out there have female leads? theres a lot. most are not on major record labels. ooh i forgot faith and the muse, and inkubus sukkubus on my list. i frequently listen to them. both therion and ayreon has had many amazing female vocalists. mostly ayreon due to the composer hires his band mates just for a album. but therion has always had amazing female vocalists. even there gothic kabballah has one, i cant remember names thou, sorry folks Edited December 8, 2008 by SaGa

CixWicked
I forgot them. I have all of their CDs. Too bad they aren't around any more. I've been looking for MP3's or CD's or something. I was really into them in the nineties, until I met them. Thenn... not so much. The girls seemed actually afraid of me. Big crush to my male ego. Stopped listening to them all together then. Anyone know where I can get MP3's of em?
CixWicked
Agelikki Cindergarden Sid Maudlin Subliminal Relik (Detroit) Then there's like Kittie, Evenescence(SP), A few who are not together anymore: Nitecide Eclipse Snake River Conspiracy I'm just not really all that into female singers... I don't really know why.
CixWicked
I'm just not really all that into female singers... I don't really know why. Let me recant that comment... It's not that I don't like female singers... There are some who amaze me, and I love them (Handsul und gretyl, for example), but the thing that disturbs me about bands fronted by female vocalists... They can be mediocre vocalists and will still get noteriety because they are women and useually really super hot women. Let me see one band with a but ugly female vocalist doing well... never happens. Of course, I myself may not be able to talk. I'm sure that a lot of people listen to Misconceived because there's a black guy singing, who happens to be Super Hawt. Bothers the piss out of me when people come up and request that we do songs by Living color, Sevendust, Body Count and Killswitch engage, but that's a topic for another discussion. DarkVampire
How rare is it to see a black female lead singer in a heavy metal band? is such a band. It really surprised me to see a black female headbanging. She has a nice voice when she's not doing that death metal growl type singing.
