I saw Mission of Burma this past summer in Detroit. I think they only did like 6 shows in the US for thier brief tour. Anyway, it was great! I was so hyped up for hours afterwards.

Wow, I remember this from the PostModern show! Such incredible imagery! I wonder who directed this?!?

Here's one that always tripped me out-- it sort of gives me the creeps, actually!

Now you do know, TC, that if you are anywhere near as much of a Maiden fan as I am, we could start an entirely new thread devoted to the subject?!? :p

I am, and we could. I met Bruce and Steve in an elevator, at the Atheneum Hotel in Downtown Detroit. I was on my way to the Wayne county Records dept (tucked away in a different part of the building), dressed in business casual (They're probably thinking, "what a bloody stiff") and I immediately recognized and thanked them for the music I grew up listening too. Bruce looked at Steve, puzzled, and said "Well the Lad can't be all that bad, now can he?"

Then I belted out a few bars of the Trooper, and I told Steve that was my favorite metal bassline ever. (Actually, I think I even sang the whole song in about one minute) and when we exited the elevator into the lobby Steve was saying thanks, and Bruce asked if I was going to the show that night at the Joe. I told him I didn't know they were in town and was "bummed" about it. He offered to leave me a pair, I humbly accepted. :jamin They were at the will call and when I got them, they were side stage Left, 4th row. We could feel heat from the pyrotechnics, as we were only 15' from the stage. Steve acknowledged me twice duing the show. It was about the coolest thing ever to happen to me at the time (I was 22)

So, yeah, I'm a lil' bit of an Iron Maiden fan. :jamin

Winger used to put on such a GREAT live show! I sure miss the 80s and early 90s. The music was so energetic!

I luvz me some Cult!! I have a hat exactly like the one Ian is wearing in the beginning-- I always wondered if he meant to look like "D," or if the resemblance was unintentional.. :p

Here's another classic metal tune rarely heard, by another of my fave bands ever:

*crosses fingers, and hands Kittylectro a Coke*

..and now, for the once-popular, but seldom recently-heard classic ballads  :
