Missing Dad

Cheating Death was a killer skill

You were my Evel Kneivel

Of life, you never had your fill

You'd live forever, I was a believer

I was always your Little Girl

We just sort of "got" each other

I loved having you in my world

Now all I have is my Mother

I know that you're proud of who I've become

And that somewhere out there, you see me

I suppose that in some way, I should succumb

To the fact that you now are free

But still, I wish I could hear your voice

In the sun, the dark, and the rain

I have some solace in the ability to rejoice

For you are no longer in pain

Brenda, you know I love you and Tomcat with all my heart and you can always count on my shoulder to be there to lean on.

Thanks, sweetie. We love you as well, and we'll have to hang out soon.

LMAO...my Dad was the same way. He couldn't grasp that I loved him unconditionally.

*huggs*

Thank you, hon.

I would be lost without my daddy. If I may, I hope those special daddy and daughter memories give you strength during the hard times.

Blessed Be/Take Care

They do, thank you. I'm trying out for roller derby next month in his memory. If THAT isn't strength, I don't know what is...
