Clothes you forgot you had

While at my mom's yesterday, waiting for her to finish Christmas dinner, I decided to go through the closet in my old room and see what was still in there. I found a black taffeda cocktail-type dress with white polka dots that my mom made me in 1994, freshman year of high school. It is short and fitted in the waist , slightly flared out skirt, with very slightly poofy sleeves (not obnoxious bridesmaid sleeves). I tried it on and it fits! I love it! It fits in perfectly with the 80s retro dresses that are getting popular again, and because my mom made it, it's unique.

Anyone else ever find something awesome in your closet, or your parents' closet, like this?

I have a very, VERY old pair of 4" "Wild Pair" stilettos, circa 1987-- stonewashed blue denim, with white mock-crock accents on toe and heel. I just came across them again, in a box full of stuff that is waiting to be "resurrected into fashion." They're a bit beat up, so they are retired.

They're one of my first pairs of "work" shoes-- and will probably be bronzed and sitting on my big desk someday, when I'm a CEO.

A few weeks ago when I was cleaning out my closet I found this shirt I had from when I was super thin (yeah, I know, I was thin once, big shock, wtf happened, oh no). The damn shirt was tiny. It was red with flames going down the arms. Funny and depressing at the same time.

I've NEVER been that tiny.

Wow!

:X

I couldn't be a size 0 even if I tried hard, unless maybe I had an operation to have inches taken off the bones in my hips. I'm a ginormous woman, I wasn't ever petite past the age of like 8.
