Soulrev
Just needs to be black. And what store to buy it from. Thanks!
honeymustard02
Covergirl makes a black shadow but I dont like their color payoffs honestly. maybelline's shadows are very nice. Not sure if they have black though. This cheap brand called CG has a black that actually works very nice wet. With any of them you should use a shadow base like Urban Decay Primer potion or something to that extent. That makes a HUGE difference.
Nienna
I have to agree with the above... and apply wet for darkest coverage.
Soulrev
Where can I get primer potion? And "apply wet" I'm assuming that means add a very small amount of water to the applicator? We bought revlon colorstay 12hour eyeshadow it says it's smudgeproof and creaseproof so is that good? Put primer on 1st, then shadow.
Nienna
I like Lancome's cream eyeshadow primer in nude myself. Awesome stuff. It works as a coverup for circles nicely too.

Soulrev
Ok well we don't have one of those out here but anyway I gotta get ready so I will hopefully see you all at CC tonight! -B
honeymustard02
Yea you can wet the applicator directly or put a little water on one side of the shadow also. Don't add a ton or you'll A ruin your shadow and B won't get a good color pay off. You want the thickness of paint a nice sheen to it.
livininxtcgoth
Ulta has primers as well I used to have a major problem with sweating my eye makeup off on stage under all those lights and someone suggested to put foundation on first and do a nice coat over my eyes and it WORKS GREAT i use wet and wild eye shadow (they have the BEST color combos for a natural yet emphasized look) and just regular foundation--i've gone from re-doing my makeup between every scene at draconian shows to one application as i get ready and still having to wash it off at the end of the night. i'm not a big fan of primers personally and i find that liquid color or wetting my powder just makes it easier for smearing/sweating off. it also depends on the shape of your brow/lids. honeymustard02
Its worth the money to invest in some krylon pallets if you wear a lot of colorful makeup. They make a good base for stage makeup (which they're for) and also club wear and whatnot.
