Emergency Mental Health Care in Macomb County

All I could find at the moment:

Edit to add:

Usually the hospital ER can handle the emergency situations as well. That's who we need to go to when my daughter needs it.

I just wish there was an easier way than to spend 8 or 9 hours in the ER.

Even most of the private care facilities here in Michigan are mostly asking you go to ER first and get a referral from them for inpatient admittance if your not paying 100% out of pocket. :(

I used to work through Macomb County (as a behavior consultant for autistic and Down's syndrome children).

I don't know if you have any supports set up for your son through the county (I don't know if you need them), but you may want to give them a call (if you haven't already, though I don't know if there is much available anymore because of budget cuts, which is why I don't work there anymore).

Anyway, here is the number for the Macomb County CMH Access Center: (586) 948-0222.

Here is the number for the crisis center, which may be helpful, though I think the best they would really be able to do would be to refer you to someone: (586) 307-9100.

These places may be able to get your son in right away if you have a problem again in the future:

Eastwood Community Clinic (Eastpointe) 586-445-2210

Henry Ford Behavioral Health (Clinton Township) - 586-226-7007

Harbor Oaks Hospital (New Baltimore) - 586-725-5777, 24 hour crisis response line at 800-537-7924

I hope these are helpful.

you might want to avoid st john hospital then. it is the worst for e.r. care of any kind.

when i lived over there for e.r. type visits i went to bon secour. which i guess may be called something else now since i know at some point that hospital and cottage were merging.
