Gaf The Horse With Tears
C) by not doing something *hell anything* to try and help fix this mess we have here in our country. He tried. Congress shut him down every time. Every year of his presidency he asked Congress to address the problems with the housing market. Every single one of his budget proposals had warnings about and suggestions to avoid the housing melt down. Every single time the Democrats in Congress filibustered (when they were in the minority) or shot down when in the majority those warnings/suggestions. As the same time, as soon as two weeks before the melt down happened, we had leading Democrats telling us that Fannie May and Freddie Mac were just fine and there was no problem. I have linked to documentation and speech's in other threads to back that statement up.

e-jewell
Here's a secret... that wasn't the terrorists. Insert zeitgeist clip here. I'm staying out of political debates with you DGN people from now on, you're all too sensitive and too busy attacking eachother's arguments to make any valid points and teach me something usually. To those who do actually say something worthwhile... thank you. Anyways enjoy your rabid cat tea party.
Gaf The Horse With Tears
Lets say something positive about Bush's legacy... Bush has pushed hard for funding to fight Aids in Africa and won. More than any other President before him, far more. Under Bush, humanitaian and development funds to the poor and sick in Africa has tripled. He has doubled trade with African nations. 800,000 poor Africans are alive soley because of Bush's programs to get them the medicines they need. candyman
...awe...you don't like how we "DEBATE"...it is a bit 80s....& growley... ...I did not hear about THAT...that's pretty cool...I guess... ...but there are STILL children HERE that are starving & cold... HE did; did HE? HEY! I take offense to that poster of Bush and the coffins. My friend Matt gave his life in Iraq on his second tour which he VOLUNTEERED to go on because he didn't want to wait. He was part of one of the many units that were transporting food, medical aid, and construction materials to villages. He was in the 50cal turret with no gun on the mount, just his binoculars, checking the roads like he always did, no weapon at all. So in response to him and all the others bringing aid to the iraqi people the "protectors" of the country set of 15 IEDs. My other friend Bean was wounded in Iraq when they were clearing a mobile medical station that was being attacked. Another bold move by the freedom fighters to make sure that their wounded people could die in peace without that damn medical aid. I have not met one soldier that regrets serving. I have not met one wounded soldier that regrets the suffereing that he experienced. And I have not met one friend or family memeber of a dead soldier that thinks that the soldier didn't want to give up his life. I know for a fact that Matt, wherever he is now, is proud of what he did and tried to do for others. He always put others first and the way he talked you would think that he wanted to stay with the people in Iraq. Sorry to the hippies out there but the draft...its over. If you are in the military and you don't like it then...hell what the fuck were you thinking anyways? Huh? Maybe college money with no strings attached? Travel the world wearing a sharp looking uniform and get laid alot? Nothing against you Rev. as you probably didn't make the poster. All I ask is that people leave our troops out of these poster as it is actually pissing them off more than it is making them happy. Have your fun but realize what you may be doing to our troops over in Iraq. If you don't want them to die maybe you shouldn't make them feel as is everything they have done is evil and worth nothing because that is simply not the case.
