The Biggest Loser DGN Style

I'm pissed! I get a little, erm how should I say this: buzzed, yet I don't drink, use your imagination, and I start out with a salad. I load it with assloads of croutons (because I will not eat a salad sans-crouton, defeats the purpose of a salad), cheese, turkey, spouts, onion, and ranch dressing because ranch dressing is easily my favorite food group, along with fried chicken. Combine fried chicken with ranch dressing? Yeap, I will jizz in my pants, but in any case, with the munchies I decide it isn't enough and I have ramen noodles, after that Pest informs me that he's making tuna casserole, and makes me eat an assload of it.

SO...I decide, all is not lost, nothing that a few hours of cleaning the bathroom and playing DDR can't handle. I start cleaning my room, I move the bed in the middle and make it, and end up laying down to test it out because it looks so sexy, I love clean sheets. Dateline is on, some special about a girl that was a narcotics informant for the cops and went missing due to this, and I keep telling myself that I have to get up or I'll fall asleep and everything I just ate will gain massively on my body...

Sure enough the next thing I know Pest is waking me up at about midnight asking me why I went to bed without asking him. I am pissed!

the thing that pisses me off, is that i have to take this medication, otherwise I'll get an infection from the biopsy (long story, not getting into it) and in order for it to not eat my stomach lining, i have to eat a full meal. I don't like eating a FULL meal. I like eating small meals to curb my appetite. its annoying. and I have to do this twice a day. its a wonder I'm losing.... ugh... and i feel disgusting if I eat small snacks as well as the two full meals a day. ugh...

and it doesn't help when no one else eats right in this god forsaken house. I can only eat certain foods, because of the insulin resistance, and they insist on filling this house with shit I can't eat, and wonder why my food keeps running out. ugh... cuz no one gets enough! and damn it, its my damn bridge card, if i want certain food, by god, you better get certain foods. buy your crap with your own bridge card!!!

WTF! Stand up for yourself! Tell your roommate exactly where she can shove it!

And hide your Bridge Card, it's yours and yours alone. Pest just got his re-instated, but he definately eats fatty stuff, I can't wait to get mine so I can start eating ninja-food again.

yeah, I'm going to have a talk with the both of them.. I have a damn job, now. I have more of a say in everything.

They went shopping yesterday.... fatty foods, brownies, sugary snacks... the list goes on. though it was with their card, we had an agreement. and it pisses me off to open the cabinet to see all my food shoved to the back and all their carp piled on top. (they wonder why we run out of food by the middle of the month. BUY REAL FOOD, DAMN IT!!!)

ugh...

Isn't there some sort of penalty if someone uses your bridge card? I know it's like that in MD.

You take your card, GRG, and you keep it where they can't get to it. You buy the things YOU need to stay healthy. To allow them to do this is to sbaotage your own well-being.

Put a lock on your bedroom door. It's what keeps out kids out of our stuff. Only YOU have the key.

If someone else uses your Bridge Card and are not on it legally to do so (you can have, I think one person, who is authorized to buy food on it, either your SO or caretaker, but must be authorized prior) it constitutes as fraud, and I believe it's a felony.

Same with trading or selling food that you purchase on your Bridge Card. Keep your Bridge Card on your person at all times, GRG, and this won't happen! Your roommates, to put it in the most polite light that I can put it in, need to go fuck themselves.

I had a room mate doing the same thing when I was doing the Beaumont Diet thing. It's so hard to eat salad and chicken while they eat Toaster Strudels, Ice Cream and Hamburger Helper.

That's what it's like living with a boyfriend...like the giant fucking tub of cookie dough sitting in our fridge that I fucking pick at every damn time I walk by the fridge.

I need to put my money where my mouth is and exercise more, it's just I've been in a really down funk for awhile now, it's hard to get my ass in gear.

Actually, I've always had an easier time eating healthy with roommates who eat crap like that. My downfall has always been living with, or dating, people who want to eat out all the time. Restaurants have always been where I have trouble not eating twice as much as I should.

Kind of off topic, since everyone was talking about Bridge Cards, does anyone actually buy healthy food with them? Working as a cashier, I get people coming through my lane with Bridge Cards, and most of them are buying pop, Gatorade, chips, Little Debbie's, Cheez-its, Keebler cookies, and so on. Most of them don't even mix in anything like milk or bread or eggs, it's disgusting. This lady last night had water, Gatorade, cheesy popcorn and pre-packaged chocolate chip cookies. I just kind of stared in awe, wondering how someone can live on that.

Google "colon cleanse images" LOL It's scary! One girl shat out these cotton ball looking things that turned out to be huge clumps of Candidia. *shudders* The same girl also had a Beef Worm and some eggs. WTF?

Nope. Thus why the poorer you get, the fatter you get, and that is a proven American phenomena. I would LOVE to get a Bridge Card, because I don't qualify for one, and I can only afford to buy crap. If I had a bridge card, I could get good food.

Yeap, case in point, Chernobyl without Bridge Card lives on hot dogs, kool-aid, white bread and pasta, ramen noodles, and bologna.

Chernobyl with Bridge Card has vegetables, fruit, fish, sushi, good grade meat (i.e. lean), whole grain everything, etc.

I view myself as very lucky. Every year we are able to buy a cow and pig to have butcherd and we have meat all year round. In the summer we have fresh veggies from our garden. I wish everyone was able to have this, because no one should have to eat prepackaged crap all the time.
