I took that today. I was iffy about sharing it, but that's my new tummy so far. i got the tiniest of definition. its like its shrinking in a circle. its no where near where it should be. I know it will never be as flat as it was 5-6 years ago. but its getting flatter than it ever has been in years!!!! ^_^

 I just joined YMCA this new year and for this moth as of January I lost a total of 20 pounds. Still a way to go cause they say the stomach is the last thing you lose hmm could've fooled me I thought it was your life go figure. This is one of the main reasons I have decided to stop drinking as of late the beer and such packs on weight in all the wrong places.

One of the things to consider is not only how to lose weight, but how to lose it on the cheap. Let's face it, we are all on tight budgets.

Consider this:

-1x12 pack of diet soda, 12 oz. x 12 cans= 144 oz. of fluid you can drink: $4-7.00 depending.

-1 box of 40 green tea bags: $3.60. I can easily make 4 gallons or so of drinkable tea that I can keep cold. I also get antioxidants, and the other bennies of tea. Also, the tannins in tea are not as dramatic in initial kick of caffeine, but they last longer. Now I prefer my tea ala Japanese (no sugar or cream,) but for sweetening, you can consider honey, real sugar, or a variety of fruit juices and the like and tailor it to your preference (and no, I don't mean enough sugar to have a slurry of tea/sugar at the bottom of the glass.)

One of the big problems with diets I found is the "diet" foods and fruits tend to be a bit more expensive, or at least perceived to be more expensive. If anyone has thoughts on what is both cheap and beneficial to losing weight, I say post it here.

Drop the pop, Diet is worse for you then regular and still makes you gain weight.

Pop doesn't come pouring out of pristine streams in nature, water does, so I don't understand why anyone drinks the shit. And I do mean shit. This is coming from someone who used to drink diet pop religiously...until I found out what is in it and what kind of effects it has on your body. You'll be saving your health and some money in the long run.

..shop at a fruit market.....the bulk buying power is passed on.....

Yeap, if it comes in any kind of a package, pass on it. Packaged food is always heavily processed, unnecessarily expensive, and HORRIBLE (not just bad, horrible) for your health, and I'm not even referring to the fact of sodium chloride content, I'm talking the straight-up toxic chemicals that are legally allowed in your food should disgust and appall you.

The people who do the food at the CC I'm going to charges alot for salads and stuff, so I've gone through a $25 lunch card in a week. Freaking irritating.

That's why I keep power bars in my purse on the days I have class. Keeps me from going to the vending machine or paying $5 for a teeny side salad.
