:confused:

*HUGS* Sorry to hear that you're sad...feel better and keep on the path that makes YOU happiest, and healthiest. *MORE HUGS*

Often, depending on your diet and regimen of exercise (be it actual exercise, your daily workload, metabolic burn rate, etc) you will see wild fluctuations. I was 206 3 years ago, got down to 189 in two months, gained 8 lbs back within a month. a lot of that was "dreaded rebound" but in fact, a bit of that was muscle weight. Muscle is much more dense than fat.

Example, if you tossed Michael Phelps and I in a pool at the same time. I'd float, and his lean, muscled bod would sink to the bottom. So it's a damn good thing he can swim, right??

The moral here is DON'T GET DISCOURAGED by "weight." Consider "inches" and how you feel as better indicators. Keep at it with good, healthy eating habits and some exercise, and you will be rewarded for your efforts. It's a process that you must go through, but being healthy is it's own best reward. :thumbsup:

PS water weight can vary up to 10 lbs in a given day. Don't forget that either!!

YEAH!

...thanx for reiterating that factoid TomCat...you know..it is our jobs to keep reminding the Ladies of this...as I see they tend to ferget it more often than not...I say this as I have seen not allot of measurements & have seen ALLOT of trips to the scales ;).....I'm just sayin'...STAY OFF THE SCALES!

I am enjoying a vanilla banana protein smoothie for lunch today & pretty much all week.. I was naughty this weekend due to Me monthly woman hell... So now I must behave.. I don't feel bad at all for the crap I ate cuz I have been sooo good & I don't think I gained anything back really... But I still want to make up for it {in a healthy manner ;) }

i just ate a sort of casadilla... whole wheat pita cut open along the edge, so it lays like two tortillas, filled with cheese and microwaved. I'll more than likely not be eating anything else that heavy till way later today....

soups and broths, till i get back to being regular. being sick, violently off and on for 10 hours, isn't the kind of cleansing one needs lol :) but I'm feeling better, sort of....

Deary, you do NOT even know naughty...and my Aunt Flow wasn't even in town. I probably gained like two lbs from last Friday to now, but I don't care, I'm going to the gym later and I enjoyed every last calorie, damnit!

Tip: Cucumbers are an awsome diuretic. I've been snacking on fresh cucumbers, mushrooms and tomatoes for the last two days and I feel like I've been taking water pills. It's definitely made me drop about 2lbs of water weight. I've been told watermelon works this way, too, though it's not watermelon season.

FACT: celery takes MORE calories to chew & process than it provides...it is a so called "negative food"...I think there are like 4 or 5 more...I forget....wait.....Google-Majik.....there's a list here on this page...you have to scroll down...it won't let you cut & paste it...(dorks).

(edit to add: cucumber IS on the list) ;)

Psssht, naw dude, I don't think you even know. I ate SO fucking much this weekend that if an obese person were sitting there watching me eat, even they would have been grossed out :laugh:. THAT'S how much I had, and I'm still in good spirits about losing weight, just have to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and try again.

Not doing too bad, actually. Decided that I'm going to be a little stricter on what I eat, only for the purpose of excelerating my progress instead of taking it slow. Anyone who knows me on here should know by now that I don't take anything slow.

Later today, going to the gym and doing some laps around their pool, soaking in their hot tub, warming up on the treadmill for ten minutes, full body weight training regimen, cool down on treadmill for ten minutes, and then fall asleep in their sauna with Gameboy in hand (don't worry, it's a dry sauna).
