Ok, so the last week has fucking sucked. I didn't got to Krav, well they were closed anyways because they all went to Las Vegas to train at a seminar. I went to Texas (fucking worst vacay of my life), but I did walk for 30 minutes every morning I was there and I watched what I ate for the most part. I'm home now, work the next three nights, have zero energy to work out at this point. Will get back on track on Monday night when I go to KM class again.

Well, I weighed myself this morning. I know, I know. I said I was gonna smash that muthafuckin' scale against the floor but I gave in and kept it completely intact. I've lost 4 lbs since vacation. I seriously think I lost weight on vacation too. I didn't really monitor what I ate but I ate whatever I wanted. And I think some of the weight loss was stress-related due to how shitty the trip was.

Yesterday's workout: Went to KM class. Lifted weights.

Today's workout: Lots of walking cuz I'm going to the zoo and KM class later tonight.

I haven't been posting in here lately, but I just wanted you all to know that I haven't fallen off the bandwagon yet. I have just been very busy. I would also like to announce that I ran 5 miles the other day, and am very proud of myself. I can't tell you that I have EVER run 5 miles, I've always been a walker, but now I can run!!!! I don't really have much weight loss to announce, but I think for fitness level, I'm very pleased with myself.

Awesome! 5 miles is no small thing. Hell I wanna die after 2 still. Now that you're running, though, you'll start to see some major results as far as weight loss goes. Congrats!

Good job, girly! I need to start running. I'm just starting to get back on track. Been going to KM class, haven't made it to the gym yet, but it's hard pulling myself from the pit of laziness that I've been in...:wallbash: :wallbash: . Oh well, I'll be back at it soon..

I've been weightlifting and doing intense cardio. I spend around 20 minutes or less lifting or doing cardio, and I've put on muscle and look fit. I rarely drink soda now, but I still eat junk food weekly and a lot more food than I did a year ago because of muscle growth. I'm not against longer exercises, but I think short duration is best for general fitness since it facilitates muscle growth which raises metabolism, and shortness makes its easier to get in a work-out and stay motivated.

This article explains the benefits of intense cardio.

Was bored last night so I decided to take body measurements, which I try to do every couple of months. These are total inches I've lost since August of last year. I lost a lot of weight between May and August, but didn't take body measurements at that time.

Hips: -6 inches

Bust: -5 inches

Waist: -5 inches

Thigh: -4 inches

Calf: -3.5 inches

I'm doing really good this week as far as working out is concerned. I went to KM class on Monday and I am going this morning. I went to the gym yesterday, I only did 20 minutes of cardio then I lifted weights. I plan on going back to the gym tomorrow and back to KM class Saturday morning.

Last night, I went to the KM level 1 class, which is an hour long. The instructor asked me to stay for the level 2 ground-fighting class and I did. It was an hour and a half long. Totally kicked my ass but it was well worth the bruises I have from it.

got to my other maxes tonight:

back squat = #270

bench = #175

ovrhd press = #130

(deads were actually #305, i miscalculated!)

gives me a combined "big 3" of #750. (squats/deads/bench) hope to get this up above #800 by the end of the strength comp.

This is awesome!! I'm very happy for you! :) I still have a long journey ahead of me.

I am still workin' it & doing great :bunny:

You looked fantastic the last time I saw you! :)

I have fallen off the exercise wagon this week, probably cause I've got a new injury, somehow I thought doing cartwheels when drunk was a good idea, so good that after I did the first one and hurt myself, I attempted to do four more. I've definitely pulled a muscle. I've been hanging low just trying to heal, I've got a backpacking trip coming up, and I don't want it to suck. All in all, this will not stop me from my journey of being fit. :)

Ok well I guess I might as well start posting on here my weight loss efforts. I see my doctor monthly for weight consul and mainly this is due to the fact I am pursuing surgery. However the past 2 months I managed to drop over 20 pounds. My next doctors appointment is this month and I will see if I am still progressing around the 10 pounds a month mark.

For me my diet is simple. Alot of water, some juice and very little to no soda or sugary beverages, alcohol and energy drinks. I have always done well with that.

Food wise well firstly I usually cannot afford food. My budget for monthly grocery shopping is around $100 a month. This is the last month I will be splitting my budget with ex. I agreed to help him only one last month food wise since he moved out without a hassle. Even so an $100 a month increase only means more juice, tea and vegetables for me that I can finally afford. On a average I eat 150-800 calories a day. I also fast at times. Part of this is due to my IBS Irritable Bowel Syndrome. With my digestive system being so delicate now its easy to upset things by eating anything too fatty or sugary and causing me to have a lousy day stuck on and off the toilet. Plus the medications I am on for treating bipolar, borderline personality disorder and ADD take my appetite away as well so cravings for anything or having a strong desire to eat is not there. I am very happy with myself. 6 months ago I was 360 pounds. Now I have to take into account I have alot pf muscle. No one really believes me when I say I weight that much because proportionately i look 275 . I used to work out alot and bike 10 miles a day. Well anyways 6 months ago I was at my heaviest just about. This is after a long recovery from injurys to my foot and ankle. I now weigh around 300 and probly less because last time I was 310 when I weighed in.

I have noticed and people have noticed my weight loss for sure. My face and neck are slimming down. My shoulders and arms. I noticed my chest and bust size are going down a lil bit uh oh! (i dont have a very big chest even for a large woman. Average C cup)

i think one think that helps me is not to stress or dwell on my weight loss or activities. I just live a healthy lifestyle and do the best I can with what I have. I lost alot of weight before not ever able to reach my goal due to my metabolic disorder but I know I can do it again and when I have my surgery I wont have to struggle so much to fight weight gain. Oh I also know a cool site with a calorie calculator that you plug in a activity and amount of time you do it with your height and weight and it tells you how much calories are burnt. It even include moderate to vigorous sex lol. http://www.healthyweightforum.org/eng/calorie-calculator.asp?action=submit Check it out.

good luck to everyone on their goals.

On a average I eat 150-800 calories a day. I also fast at times.

1) correct me if i'm wrong - is that "150 cal. to 800 cal/day"? is your doctor aware of this? in no way am i trying to be insulting here, but 800 cal/day is dangerous if not medically supervised, and 150 cal/day is flat-out insane! i don't care how heavy someone is, they have to eat, and eat enpugh to support their bodily functions. the lowest cal intake i've ever seen recommended (unsupervised) is 1200/day. neinna was on 800/day for a while, but checked in with a doc & got blood work regularly. believe it or not, if this calorie intake is true, you're in starvation mode and will find it very hard to lose weight.

Part of this is due to my IBS Irritable Bowel Syndrome. With my digestive system being so delicate now its easy to upset things by eating anything too fatty or sugary and causing me to have a lousy day stuck on and off the toilet.

this might be due to your not eating anywhere near enough of the right foods. oatmeal, lean meats/fish, fruits & veggies are really all you should be eating (and yeah, i know i'm not a doctor) :wink speaking of which, are you keeping a food journal yet? and if so, have you shown it to the doc? and if not, i would suggest starting and letting him see what you're eating daily. you might want to try a site like www fitday.com, or www.thedailyplate.com to track your eating. i use fitday all the time, and it's great!

all that being said, congrats on shedding #20, and i hope you keep at it!
