So the scene has been growing a bit as of recent. Some nights really need to advertise more. My solution is a sticky with all the regular S.E.MI. club nights defined in it that are of interest to registered board members. (P.S. someone make this a sticky).

BTW That Vamp.Org Gothic Club List isn't very up to date. I stumbled across it a couple months ago seeing what other events were in the area, called on them, and some of those places are no longer in business. Sad, I was excited I didn't know something on the scene. *sighs*

Last Thursday of every month is Atmosphere at Proof Martini Lounge in Detroit near Comerica. I think it's the last Thursday. I'm not confident. It's Thursday, that much is certain! This month it's 1/29. Last month is was 12/18...so obviously not the last Thursday. Damn. It was on Nov 20 and Oct 23. I guess it varies than between 3rd and 5th. Darnit, that's much harder to put into a schedule like this, isn't it?

Might be worth mentioning anyway though, since it is relatively regular, being a monthly thing and all, and definitely genre-appropriate for a subset of us! XD

Is the Lab actually open these days? I thought it was dead.

Well actually, you have it listed as opening at 8... actually 08:00 which is 8am lol :-) Yes, I agree.... a "safe" time to arrive is 9 but I would even go as far as to say 9:30 - that gives us a chance to get the winos out by blasting the most annoying shit we can to drive them away..... yes, we do have our little tricks.

Also if someone wants to post a link to a calender event they want added that's fine too. But it must be a recurring event and not a one time thing.

Also someone sticky this since it is really useful I guess. I don't want to keep having to bump it every time it falls off the front page and then someone goes "hey what all is there to do in Detroit for gothy/alternative people" and then I end up having to dig out the post and put up a link.

Feel free to rename the title to something more appropriate or recognizable like "Regular local events".

First can we refrain from posting GIANT advertisement images in the thread? Please? Mention it, post the information if you want (even though I already did above) however all that wasted white space. The most important parts of that flier are the top, middle, and bottom detailing the name, types of music played, and location. I want information here and not neat artwork.

Also quite frankly all that white hurts my eyes. Maybe use a gray background or even better, black!

Second, except Sundays and Tuesdays (if you live in this area going to Grand Rapids for an event is kind of counterproductive. I might as well list the Ohio events too since those I believe are closer. This is why I wanted to keep it local since it is DetroitGothic.Net and not MichiganGothic.Net

(waits for someone here to run off and register THAT domain name too.)
