my mascara froze to death

this morning i started to apply my usual make up and my mascara screamed a good hearty "global warming my ass" before choking and dying.

i left my case in my car the night before and the mascara froze SOLID. i tried to apply it the other night and it wouldn't budge. this morning the brush pealed out with crystals of gooey black and a completely mutilated brush.

i was really sad. it was a really nice mascara, made my eyes look really dramatic (Rimmel 5x volumizing/extending, i think was what it's called).

and so lesson one: if you love your mascara knit it a scarf in the winter poor thing

lesson two: it is actually cold enough for mascara to freeze---why do we live here again?
