Soulrev
Just thought I would share that. I miss her, a lot. Long story short, I've been out of the ARMY for a year now, and she just left for Basic in October. She was home for Xmas and new years, went back on Jan 2nd, and she graduates from Fort Jackson on the 30th. I'm just looking forward to seeing her at the end of the month.. Then I'll be driving her from Ft. Jackson, SC, to Ft. Lee, VA, where she's going for AIT for 3 months. It's going to be a shitty 3 months without her but I really can't wait till she gets to her assigned duty station so we can be together again for more than just a couple of weeks. That is, unless she gets deployed. I hope not, but that's what we signed up for in the first place so we'll just cross that bridge when we get to it. Hopefully she doesn't get sent to a unit that's deploying in like 3 weeks like some of us did when we got out of AIT. A few of my battle buddies from AIT went to 603rd in Ft. Polk, LA where they deployed within 3 weeks of getting out of AIT. I was assigned to 4th brigade 10th mtn. div. and I had like 3 months before deployment so I was "lucky" I guess. Some of the guys I was in Basic with never did deploy. It's all a luck of the draw, I guess. We sure could use some of that hazardous duty pay, though. I just find it harder and harder to say goodbye to her every time it happens. As the years go by we get more and more attached to eachother and we keep falling more and more in love with eachother. I love my wife with all of my heart and soul and there is nothing anyone or anything could do to stop that. Just wanted to share that with everyone. Also, if anyone gives a shit, I posted a few pics of her in my photo album, so feel free to check out my angel. -B

I gotta say that even though I am not married to them I still miss them a ton and think about them often. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that I can feel your pain. I lost my friend Matt over in Iraq a few years ago. He had to pull some strings to go on that deployment and I know that even though he lost his life he wouldn't complain about it if he could. Hanging out with him for only a few days before he went back gave me some of the best memories of my life. Even though he is gone and I miss him it would be selfish of me and others to complain about it. I fully support the military and give them my full support. I would be a Marine now but sadly a medical problem came up and all my preparations went to shit. In a year I may still be able to join but I am not sure. My hat is off to you and your wife along with all the others for your selfless actions. You and your wife will be in my thoughts as long as this conflict continues. Good pictures...I would miss her too. Oh, and if you ever run into a Marine by the name of Travis Riggs he still owes me $50 from a bet at the bowling alley...yeah I still support him but he lost and I am still sending him Copenhagen and Playboy. pomba gira
Aww... I hope things work out so you can be together long-term, sooner than later!
Miranda
That's a very touching tribute to your wife. I'm sure she knows how much you love her and I think it's beautiful you can share that. It's nice to see people who have found their contentment. I hope time passes quickly until you are together again. The goodbye's never get easier, they get worse but you just have to have faith in your love. Long distance situations are never easy, they either make you or destroy you. Eventually you'll be together for good.

The evil fish
Hey man - I feel for ya. What made her decide to go in after you got out? And I take it she enlisted for active duty... not the guard. I'm prior Army... now in the Air Force. (Better food lol) Hang in there brother - you know how it is. Depending on when you were in... I'm thinking you went to Afghanistan? I was there in March of 2002 for 6 months. I know the 10th was also there then. Anyway, thank you for your service and please thank your wife as well.
