wall crawlers, slow goers, and speedsters were abound in the DGN...

Sometimes, the walls were good for more than just being a border to the rink...

I go to bed at about 9:00, sometimes 10:00 on a work night. What's up with all these late Sunday evening fun things that I always have to miss out on? *pouts*

Looks like a good time was had by all.....Sorry we missed it

Perhaps next time

You kids definitely have to make it out for the next one!! It's a hoot!

AWESOME time had! I haven't done that in 9-10 years, and at first I felt stupid and was a bit shaky/wobbly, but it's like riding a bike and I got the hang of it really quick.

Thanks to Bren for putting it together and TomCat for taking incriminating photos :fear::tongue:.

For anyone who missed it, you really missed out. Pest and Punky's boyfriend were in the skating race and left everyone in the dust as they epically battled over the finish. And they played all your favorite DGN Disco Funk classics, a staple of DGN events everywhere  (okay maybe not, but for what it was the music was decent except the slow songs, could be a bit less poppy).

Nice seeing everyone there, very refreshing way to spend a Sunday evening :), looking forward to the next one. The night was awesome all the way up until the point where we came home and literally caught the house on fire REALLY bad.

It was great! I looked a dork, but only fell on my ass ONCE! I did it on the opposite end of the rink, so there's no camera evidence. *hee!*

To clarify, Spammer: Eevee called me for directions thinking everything closed up at 10, yes, TEN P.M. and I informed her it would be open until 11 p.m. (and good thing too because I didn't get there until 10).

It was definitely worth the $8 admission and rental. I am sorry I hardly spoke with folks; I was determined to learn how to skate without running into the walls to turn and I apparently have only one speed and am a bit dangerous to skate next to.

Special thanks to Jeff and Brenda for helping me find fuel for my car.
