DGN @ City Club, Saturday, February 7th.

Come. Join us. Meet us. Hang out. We're not that scary in person, really.

You enter by going through an unmarked door on the First Street side of the Ramada Hotel building, located at 400 Bagley Street in downtown Detroit. The club is at the top of the stairwell. (see picture in the link above in the DGN calendar entry)

All are welcome. Come meet some of us weirdos.

Saturday nights from 10:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

Alcoholic drinks until 2:00 a.m., pop and juices served all night.

Admission is $4

18 and up, 21 to drink with proper ID (no exceptions).

No drugs, weapons, chains or spikes.

We've had reports that the CC parking lot will not break $20 bills or larger, so try to bring smaller bills with you.

Zoom able map to City Club.

(The map isn't quite exact. The Leland is located within the Bagley, 1st, Cass, Plaza Dr. block.)

In case you don't know the "DGN Corner" is to the right of the bar. Currently theres a table, pillar and long narrow wooden table, impossible to miss. Come say hello. If no one is there, stay there, they will show up.

Note:

If your NOT going this isn't the place to post about it.

If ARE going (or likely going) to CITY CLUB ON SATURDAY this is where you let us know and we encourage you to do so. Not about some other place, some other club or some other thing your doing instead.

Posts that are off topic should be avoided , and may be deleted in pinned topics.

I think I need a break from the place.

I'm taking one as well.

<thread-jack>--Are any other Royal Oakers interested in doing something else this Saturday?

Just a couple of nights till a great time out with Freinds.......

This just in:

This month Leland CITY CLUB will be collecting CLOTHING donations for the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.

We have chosen the Capuchin Soup Kitchen because unlike other charities, the Capuchins DO NOT CHARGE the people the help ANYTHING EVER ! ! !

They GIVE FREE FOOD, provide showers and GIVE FREE CLOTHING to those who need help in these very difficult economic times.

This is a good reason to clean out your closets of the clothes you haven't worn in over a year, and help out our VERY needy community at the same time.

We are looking for USEABLE clothes for Adults and Children.

PLEASE GIVE WHATEVER YOU CAN ! ! ! !

We only ask that the clothing has been washed and that it is brought in plastic bags. No boxes please.

We will be accepting CLOTHING Donations for the ENTIRE MONTH OF FEBRUARY ! ! !

    • I am currently floored.   FedEx did a massive 6 box delivery to the wrong address.  I had an autoship order scheduled to arrive before this past weekend.  Nothing showed up.  I contacted the order site and they had a link for the order...a photo of all my boxes thrown in the snow and up the sidewalk of a residence that was not mine.   You would think that at some point, the driver would have looked at the delivery address after they kept throwing box upon box at this location with no shelter from the elements.  They didn't even knock on the door to inform the residents that massive 65+ pound boxes were left all over their walkway.  Nope.  Just dumped them, took a photo as they were walking away and left.   I wonder what the person who found all of those misdelivered boxes must have been thinking when they saw them.  Maybe they kept everything to use, distribute or sell.  No idea.  No claim was filed on that end as of yet.   Fortunately for me, one of the sites that I ordered from, replaced everything at no extra cost.   Unfortunately, now I'm concerned for the other items yet to be delivered.   Needless to say, I'll be watching my notifications like a hawk.
