Homicidalheathen
FLINT TOWNSHIP, Michigan -- A man faces murder charges for neglecting his elderly mother to the point that officials say she was "living in a death camp." In what could be a trailblazing legal case, Genesee County Prosecutor David S. Leyton charged Christopher A. Mukdsi, 50, with felony murder based on allegations that the neglect of his mother was so bad that it resulted in her death last summer. Katherine L. Mukdsi, 73, was sitting in a wheelchair on her front porch June 3, 2008, when her son called 911 to report that she had died. Investigators said she had not moved from her living room couch for eight months before she died. The son had carried her outside to wash her down with a garden hose before emergency crews arrived at the house. Her blanket was so caked in urine and feces that it still held the shape of her body when it was removed, said Genesee County Sheriff Robert J. Pickell. She had not been bathed or showered for a year and was only allowed to urinate into a coffee cup and defecate into pizza boxes, some of which were still in the house at 1367 Sun Terrace Dr. when police looked inside. The 5-foot-4 woman weighed just 63 pounds when she was died and suffered from sepsis caused by feces that had seeped into open sores on her body, police said. "She looked like she was 103," said Leyton. Officials said Mukdsi never tried to seek medical help for his mother.

TitsMcGee
I just can't understand how people can treat their parents that way. Seriously, up here we take care of our parents/grandparents. My grandfather lived with us for 5 years before he passed away, and we took care of him because he didn't want to go to a nursing home.
