freydis
Hit Ctrl-esc, and you should get your start menu at least. Then from there, you could do a system restore to restore your settings.....

n0Mad
Try F-11 ... er, F11. You know, up at the top over the numbers.
taysteewonderbunny
I don't know if it is advisable in this case, but if you have a "go back" or "restore" feature on your computer, you could always just hold in the power button until it shuts off and then reboot a few minutes later. Usually works for me when everything freezes. But I understand that is not the most preferred alternative and some risks apply, but I (blissfully) do not know what they are. Rev.Reverence
Try F-11 ... er, F11. You know, up at the top over the numbers. Oh...that was the second thing I did with it after Munin said that(all of them, & then them & Ctrl)...THEN...I tried Ctrl+Alt+Delete...& slipped over to O_M_G's desktop...& instituted the re-boot from there... Thanx for the idea Munin...it ALL came back where it should have been... Yeah tw-bunny.....that is very dangerous for a cave-person...as in the Nerds told me NEVER do that...& I already did once on accident I was reaching for the eject button... :X THANX ALL!
