Quarantined Infirmary: share your disease with us here

Since so many of us are in the grips of those microscopic demons--bacterial and viral infections--who are running amok, turning noses into faucets, tear ducts into noses, shredding throats, torturing ears, filling swollen sinus cavities, plaguing lungs, upsetting stomachs, wrenching guts, and filling our bones with ache, I thought here would be a good place to share with us your gripes and convalescence. Come get the cyber hugs and loves that aren't contagious.

Can't we just start blaming people whom we think are responsible?? It's so much more fun!!

Sure! Doubt it was me, but it makes me wonder. Who did I get sick? Raise your hands. I know I was too social too soon and went out when I should have stayed home. I was bored, and now you're paying the price. So sorry! Sling your mud here too.

Also, this thread is a good idea because it serves the purpose of letting those people who aren't ill know who they should stay away from the upcoming weekend at CC.

Truly. But I'm doing CC the favor of staying away from it. I love a little empathy, but I don't want you all ill with me!

I have the highly contagious pink eye, my friend and I are gucky-visioned creatures of the night.

I had that a couple of weeks ago too--along with chronic bronchitis and a sinus infection. After 4 rounds of antibiotics and some steroids, I think I'm OK now.

 I'm feeling really, really crummy. It's my best friend in the whole wide world's birthday party tonight (liljrockbunny). I planned it over a week ago and have been preparing all week. :oops Now that the day is here, I'm too sick to go! :crybaby::cry :cry

At least I got to see her when I dropped the food by and give her a great big hug. She promises to come over this weekend to keep me company with a movie--some sort of Chinese romance set in feudal times, but with the hilarious glaring anachronism of a rave complete with glowsticking in it, CAN'T WAIT!--and I was able to see her open her presents. Yay! Plus Az was a sweetie and says he'll broadcast the party to me on webcam tonight. So I got some contact with my favoritist lay-deee in allz zee worl'. :animier::wub:

All I know is I had one hell a poop today

it kinda started out solid, then peanut buttery(tar like)

and ended in Hershey Squirts(fiery hot!)

it must have been the White Castles I had at work earlier,it took

almost a whole roll of (butt tape)TP to wipe

and I plugged the toilet as well, here is some advice,if you ever get the pasty poop,

always have TP on hand and take a shower right away,or else

you'll get chaffy, note ham is also notorious for the pasties as well.

and remember to chew your corn and peanuts very well

or else they may saw at your chocolately starfish on the way out.

Ever have the slime? The stuff you just can't leave behind for anyone else to see even if it IS a public toilet? You know what I mean, has the consistency of molasses and sticks to the bowl? I hate that stuff.

Yeah, that and you don't want it to make you sicker. No offense, but I really wonder about the sanity of those who talk about being sick all week, then go to City on Saturday night.

As for me, I am finally feeling well today. Aside from being sore and tired, from being on my feet all day, and a little allergy nonsense, I feel 200% better.

Hang in there everyone! :grouphug

    • ~~~~~ Yeah, thank you for the check-in.   Happy to say it was all a misunderstanding.  But she pulled out her "ghetto" and that's when things went South.  I get very professional minded when I enter into situations like that because when someone starts bring the court into conversations, I'm in court 2 times a year, every year, so don't go there with me because I will get legal all over you.   She did try to change what she thought she might have said, but I had to call her on it because it's all in written text.  Then she apologized and we were able to have a decent conversation.   I know I joke about me talking so much that people don't hear what I say except for keywords that they are looking for, but that is exactly what happened here.  She heard "payment", "money" and "help out".  It was crazy.  I literally had to have the entire conversation all over again, but I definitely condensed it to only address those 3 words.   Things are back on track, but I emphasized that if she every needed clarification for anything, please say something first instead of jumping to conclusions, then questioning that conclusion, then answering that conclusion, then getting upset at the answer and taking it out on someone who doesn't have a clue what the San Juan Hill just happened.   But this is exactly the reason I do everything with a paper trail.

    • I'm glad  that yesterday's day at work is long gone now. There was a very strong unusual energy that I felt, and couldn't get done with the day fast enough. It wasn't  the job at all. I just felt like I really needed to keep my mouth shut, to keep me from getting in situation(s) that probably wouldn't have ended well for me.
