Der Nister
I know how some here feel about my favorite band KMFDM (that's ok - I don't mind) but I also know that more than a few of you are NCIS fans so here's one for you. SKOLD vs. KMFDM On NCIS TV Soundtrack NCIS: The Official TV Soundtrack is released today. The Soundtrack to the top-rated CBS television show is a two CD set. DJ Saint
some info on the upcoming SKOLD vs. KMFDM release... KMFDM Records together with The Bicycle Music Company announce a new full-length album titled "Skold vs. KMFDM". The release date is set for April 7th, 2009 and will be distributed through KMFDM Records worldwide. "Skold vs. KMFDM" was performed, engineered, recorded and mixed by Sascha Konietzko at KommandoZentrale in Hamburg, Germany and by Tim Skold at The Unabomber Shack in Studio City, California. The entire album was recorded without the two artists ever being on the same continent, much less in the same room. Konietzko explains: "We constantly bounced stuff back and forth over the server, and with a time-difference of nine hours between us, it turned out that one of us slept while the other one worked and vice-versa, and thus we got two full days of work done in just 24 hours." Before they began exchanging files, Konietzko and Skold agreed to some ground rules for the album, which included a no-guitars proviso and a no real drum kits stipulation. Skold elaborates: "This is a very electronic album but the majority of the instruments used are actually analog and many of them are not even electric. What we decided to intentionally avoid this time was the traditional electric guitar. This was done to confuse and bewilder our fans. We like to keep them on their toes and many of them appreciate the challenge." Skold's production credits include the three Marilyn Manson albums he played on, Skold, Shotgun Messiah, MDFMK and KMFDM. Remix credits include Prong, KMFDM, Rammstein, Lords Of Acid, O.N.A., Bloodhound Gang and Kidney Thieves. More info a http://www.skoldvskmfdm.com .
