Thanks again for the congratulations everyone... No Rev, we haven't out any serious thought into that yet.

We met at city about a year and a half ago, but she was seeing someone alse at the time. Its probably all just the same, as I wouldn't have been in the right frame of mind for a proper relationship back then...

Still get that ooh aaah I can't believe this is my ring feeling every time I look at it.. lol And YES I picked it out.. We got it from a jeweler Diamond In The Rough located in Grand Blanc, the couple that own it are from Greeceand everything is pretty much custom work..

Jeremy and I decided on it, even though it's not a "traditional" engagement ring. But because since my mother passed away 8months ago and her maiden name was Champagne, we thought it was quite fitting that above the other diamonds was one Champagne diamond. We've also set the date to be October 23rd which was her birthday. So it all ties in, since she can't be apart of the wedding in physicality I wanted her to be apart of it as much as possible in other ways.

Just to clarify; October 23rd of 2010 is the wedding date.

It's amazing how some things just fit into place beautifully :)

I love this story! my mom gave me her and my dad's wedding rings (they're divorced) when she found out she was ill. I'm having a ring made from them to wear so they'll both always be with me. Knowing the special meaning of your ring, I love it even more!

Update:

The date is set, license purchased, THREE WEEKS AND COUNTING! WOOOOOO!

While the wedding is family-only, we plan to have an open-invite party/reception for friends, sometime this fall. Probably something similar to Aaron/Josie had, at one of the Metro parks. :D
