It's never a good idea for a former cutter to do painful things for fun. And it would fuck up my back tattoo.

*eyheghm*

Ummmm, actually it IS good for a 'cutter' to seek out 'constructive' means to feel pain.. Otherwise it gets pent up & they either go in a corner and cut themselves, or they kill themselves... Or they just stay "all EMO... all the time"

Personally... I prefer to go the 'constructive' route.. Nowadayz ;)

EDITED to say..... Off Topic... Kind of.. OK... Not really at all..Sorry

Awesome pics... After i loose some weight then i'll consider doing something like this... haha Sounds and looks fun as hell but I don't need 20 hooks in my back... lol

thanks... =P

Nice work, Gimp. Not my thing to try to simulate O-kee-pa, but you look like you were having fun.

thanks and O-kee-pa?

kudos that rocked. I loved it! thanks.

Not something I am ready for but yah...that takes stamina like nothing else

O-kee-pa is how some people refer to the vertical chest suspension...but because of the deep meaning behind the ritual that the Native Americans use, the o-kee-pa, they aren't really the same thing...

Now the Sun Dance would be something to see...but there is even more ritual there and alot more pain...

Well, as far as the rituals are all concerned I am not very sure...but they usually take a sacred tree or pole and tie one or more dancers to it. The dancers do their thing and often go on until the hooks or wooden pegs rip out of their flesh. It's not a very common practice anymore...

Yeah...I always wondered what the hell they were thinking...rituals like that are still going on in other religions...like weighted piercings that rip out of the skin when the person is dancing...I can deal with piercings but...this is nuts...

I know someone who does the sundance ritual. Women lose blood and go through pain in childbirth...only men in his tribe do this ritual. Its their way of showing honor to the goddess for all she does...evening the score so to speak...in fact he met his wife at his first suspension and a yr later they were there with their 1st daughter...he hangs at Doctor Bobs (drummings) if you ever want to chat with him...its at 7 mile and woodward and his name is Ricardo
