The Scams Keep Rolling In

It's always been that way for any act when they start out - from the beatles to kiss to nirvana and metallica and Mr. Don.....none of those acts had to pay almost $10,000 to get their first record out to the public and somehow those bands seemed to do well for not having to shell out moneies they didn't have when they started.

Good luck with your scam.

The key word in today's music industry is "I Remember"

The industry has changed is is ever changing.

Today's label deals are terrible. They own the act and the masters and copyrights and the act see's very little money.

Wishing you the best with your project.

Cheers, Don

Total cost for your servies is only 8,000 (CDN)? I remember a time when bands payed labels out of the sales of their records.

Thanks but no thanks.

From a email exchange that I had with (IMO) another scam artist looking to take advantage of me by 'offering' their "great services that will make me rich" (just send us your money today to take advantage of this offer)

Who the fuck these assholes think they are/dealing with boggles my mind.

I don't recall reading that The Beatles had to fork over almost $10,000 to get any kind of contract when they started out.

Some assholes think they can con us musicians without us questioning what they're telling us.

Unfortunately it works half the time. This is why entertainment lawyers exist. You pay THEM lots of money so they can screw you instead of everyone else. The music industry is all about getting screwed, just not in the way one would expect or hope for.

In the end I told the guy to piss off and that more and more in today's music business bands don't need a record company to get their music out.

The big labels have run a corrupt monopoly since the 1950's and with the internet musicians can reach the public without them and they know it.

At this point they can only hope to find people dumb enough to fall for their b.s. sales pitch.
