Chippewa Falls, WI–Authorities in Chippewa County got a phone call in the early morning hours on Wednesday, January 28th. They were asked to do a welfare check at the home of Raymond Knez Jr. Upon arrival, deputies were approached by an 11-year-old child. The little girl told the officers that earlier that morning, Knez shot and killed six of the family’s pets. If that wasn’t bad enough, he killed all but one of them inside his trailer home, while six children looked on.

On January 27, one of the family’s dogs killed another in a fight. Knez’s girlfriend, 30-year-old Chrystalyn Adcock, was pissed off at the remaining dogs after that incident. Trying to appease her, Knez told her that he would take the dogs to a pound or shoot them while the kids weren’t looking. Faced with a difficult decision, Knez spent the next 11 hours drinking. He told deputies that he had consumed 26-29 cans of beer in that period of time. He even traveled to a local tavern to discuss his dilemma and gather opinions from others. He left the bar thinking he could legally shoot the dogs. So, at 5:30 a.m. the morning of the 28th, that’s what he did.

He went home, grabbed his .280-caliber rifle, went outside and shot one of the dogs. He carried the dog’s body into the trailer and showed it to Adcock. Then, for some bizarre reason, he decided to off the rest of the pets in the house. He found one of the kids’ dogs, stepped on it in the hallway, and shot it. He started hunting for more animals, and even recruited one of the children to help round them up. He found one cat, stepped on it, pinning it to the floor, and shot it. He grabbed another cat, held it out in his left hand and shot it with his right. By the time his alcohol-fueled rampage was over, four cats and two dogs were dead.

There were six children, ages 10-14, in the residence at the time. All were terrified and crying. After the shooting, the children were told by Adcock to go to school and not tell anybody what happened…she didn’t want Knez to get in trouble because ‘he’s a good guy.’ Oh yeah, he’s a real fuckin’ charmer, you stupid twat. The 11-year-old was too upset to go to school, so she was allowed to stay home…but only if she cleaned up the dead animals. Adcock was too busy to do it herself, she had an errand to run, she had to go buy more beer.

Knez was found on the property and was arrested. He was released on $1,000 bail Thursday on the condition that he have no contact with Adcock or any of the children. Knez made his first court appearance on the 3rd, and was advised on the charges filed against him. He faces three misdemeanor counts of mistreating animals, three felony counts of mental harm to a child, felony first-degree reckless endangerment, and misdemeanor possession of a firearm while intoxicated. The charges carry a combined maximum sentence of 53 years. His next court appearance is set for March. You can read the criminal complaint here.

Adcock is looking at one count of felony mental harm to a child, for making the 11-year-old clean up the mess. She could face up to 12 years behind bars and $25,000 in fines, but I see a slap on the wrist in her future. All six children have been placed in protective custody

Actually, there are parts of Wisconsin that are completely different than the rest of the state. Madison, our capital is called the "asshole of Wisconsin"...yeah. Milwaukee is kinda weird but only during the voting season when the liberals and black panthers crawl out of their time chambers and bring the 60's and 70's back to the state. Then there is Chippewa Falls, WI...where this guy lives...Half the place is the elite class, huge houses, and then you go a little further and *drum roll* TRAILER PARK!
