Gerald Celente on the possible crash of 2009

Recommended Posts

Wow...Boshy and I said everything that this guy said about two years ago, with the exception of the fact that we figured it would have happened sooner. Finally people can stop calling me crazy, and with Obama's reckless financial plan and gigantic wasteful stimulus package, I'm thinking it's going to be sped up and more drawn-out, which is also what I was trying to tell people when he was running for office still and it could have been prevented.

Something I've been suggesting to friends and loved ones (people I care about): even if you don't NEED it, get a bridge card to get a couple weeks' worth of non-perishable foods. Seriously, if you qualify, you don't even need to spend your own money (except for gas to get to interviews) to play it safe. I really hope nothing bad happens, but I've been thinking the same things for years now... hope for the best, prepare for the worst; or, as the Boy Scouts say, "Be Prepared". Everyone I've met here has left a good impression on me, and I can honestly say that I care about each and every one of you. If anyone out there is thinking along these lines but they don't know where to start, pm me. I'll gladly take a minute or twenty to share my own research or bounce some ideas around. It's better to have and not need than to need and not have.

Enough of my preaching. I love you all.

Political athiest...I like that.

America seems to be the root of all evil according to...oh...the world...?

I go hide under rock now. :sofa:

I disagree with the crystal meth comment...alcohol is just as bad when abused. That was the drug of choice back then...heroin was around then too...

At last someone with a brain who is honest and doesn't sugar coat things.

...the love of money...is the root of all evil....& we have plenty of that in this country!

Why not believe Fox News? They are the ones saying something is wrong and that Obama is doing exactly the wrong thing to fix it... just like this guy is saying.

Exactly. I get shit for watching fox news as my main news source, because they really are fair and balanced unlike CNN or MSNBC.

Hey...I know a nice little place called Columbia...everything that America is not...there are even rooms filled with Billions of American Dollars! Wow! And cocaine! And if you murder someone...who gives a shit right?!?! They'll just pop another one out somewhere...

Mexico is next on my travel list. I just love what they replaced their government with...they also have great "exports" and complete control of all their natural resources in order to take better care of their people...

And then there is France...home for rampant racists and people that would like to bitch about everything while eating the finest garden slugs and sipping on the best wine...

I would go on but my "travel to a better country that America" agency is really booked right now and with the horrible economic collapse being centralized in our country we require you to fill our company wallets with your down payment to get the rest of your options.

Have a nice day...and try not to punch any babies on your way out! :welcome:

Bravo, good sir. Bravo.

As much as there is wrong with our country, there are many things we take for granted that I know we have better than most other parts of the world. To defend those things was one of the reasons putting on one of the nation's uniforms was an easy decision for me.

And what is it with us worshiping our own demise? Huh? Seriously. Why do we give into some strange concept of predetermined "fate," and saying that it will happen because someone says so? If things were predetermined by "fate," I would have been dead several times from grief, self-destructive thoughts, and despair from half the stuff that I have been through over the last 20 years.

Did the world end when Rome fell? NO. We still existed. Humanity in Europe subsisted for a while, but was able to pull itself up through their own efforts, and strive once again.

Did humanity die with the Black Death, with all the nay-sayers saying it "was the endtimes?" NO. We became smarter, developed, evolved, industrialized. If we consigned ourselves to fate, we would have been languishing still in the Dark Ages.

When I succeed, is not because of fate. It is to spite it; to spit in its eyes; to say as I give fate the double bird and say "FUCK YOU, SABOO!! I'M FIGHTING YOU EVERY. FUCKING. STEP OF THE WAY!!!" Then I carry out the fight. And IF it does happen, I can live with myself knowing with smug satisfaction that I fought the universe with every fiber of my existence, and won more than a few rounds. I don't think I could look at myself, or into myself, without even trying to succeed.

As you can see, I don't like hearing from prophets. While statistics may prove a certain disease's course, there are those who I gladly see lean statistics in their favor, and challenge "fate."
