I did it! South beach diet worked :-)

Just got back from my doc and all my labs are normal now. Dropped my total cholesterol over 100 points, got my good cholesterol up and my heart disease risk is now in the "low" classification.

I haven't even been doing the diet on weekends, was too hard for me to follow, just during the week. I've been half-heartedly exercising so my weight didn't drop too much, but the lab tests are all good now.

Yay me =)

I'm planning to continue. If I don't I'll be back in the same boat with my cholesterol. It's easy for me to stick with it during the week because I stay busy with work and stuff.

There are three phases, the first where you reset your metabolism, the second phase where you transition and the third phase you do forever. The third phase is very balanced and you really don't get hungry if you follow the recommendations.

If I get motivated I might even add in a few weekend days because I do have about 10 to 15 pounds that I would like to drop.

and all this so I can outlive my enemies and dance on their graves

:woot: great motivation!!!!!! :devil

I have thought about when it will come time for me to have to stick with a diet/healthy life style for health reasons.... i dont htink i could do it. Maybe when the time ariases and i know it is serious perhaps i will be able to, but for now it just seems so hard. i give you (and any one else who can do it) alot of credit for that reason.
