Wish I had something 80's to wear!

Want to borrow my pinstripe mini, fishnets and Elvira tee? Not exactly your style, but it's never too late to shake things up a little.

Wait! Hasn't you, like, a ton of Star Wars tees? Wear one of those and pretend you have a color block red and black pleather pant and jacket set with the outrageous epaulets that tickle your ears and then slap on those Air Jordans that have been rotting in the corner of your laundry room for 20 + years and, DUDE!, you have an outfit! Oh, don't forget to wear a headband over your forehead. (Headband. Not bandanna.) Yeah.

we are not being too picky at the door, people wearing standard goth,punk,all in black,etc will get in for the reduced price.

though leg warmers & headbands would be awesome to see.

you will hear everything tomorrow night.

the cure,depeche,twisted sister,poison,prince,madonna,run dmc,afrika bambatta,biz markie,beastie boys,bowie,queen,janet jackson & michael too,new wave classics like "fade to grey" & "major tom", you will even hear some italo/disco, & some electroclash via dj stevie (yes, it's not 80's, we will be cheating a little)

we can most def do the yaz (vince clark is genius)

i will be playing some old skool industrial too, some nitzer ebb,242,nin,ministry,puppy,etc.

mission statement:

we want peeps to have fun, whether it's singing along or them saying "omg, i have not heard this in forever"

i expect the room to go off when i drop journey,lol.

TONIGHT GUYS!

I hope I feel up to going, I have been sick all week (had to call off work 2 times and miss Dead-Line :cry ) But if I can, I will be there for sure!

Sounds like me!! I left work at 11am on Monday when one of the guys came out of his cube to scold me 'you're just gonna make the rest of us sick', and didn't go back until yesterday. I still had to get my work done from home, but still, sooo sick. We can be sickies together!! Now since I haven't been out all week (not since last Friday cuz of this stupid thing! Not even Saturday!), I'm dying to go out, so unless I have a total relapse between now and 4 hours from now, I'll be there. I hope you will be too!!

So who's all coming out for this? I am still having SUCH a hard time deciding!!!

Do Want to go to City...but Do Want to dress up like Strawberry Switchblade...and Do Want to listen to awesome 80s...but also Do Want to listen to goth stuffs... Which will have more of my friends?!?!? XDXD

Also, wasn't there a breakdown of DJ time for this somewhere? Or am I insane? I seem to remember there being one but now I can't find it...

Was up there - where was everyone else? Saw a deathrocker there whom I told about Deadline. Was gonna hop back there after CC but ended up in conversations with folks...

scary and some toher people showed up later, we ended up getting pretty full after 2.

the next one is going to be friday april 10th.

we are going to have a bunch of vintage video games set up for people to play, atari 2600, nintendo, intellivision, etc

Yay!! I'm so glad it'll be happening again! I feel like an ass for missing it, but I just needed to see friends last night more than anything else.

      I am currently floored.   FedEx did a massive 6 box delivery to the wrong address.  I had an autoship order scheduled to arrive before this past weekend.  Nothing showed up.  I contacted the order site and they had a link for the order...a photo of all my boxes thrown in the snow and up the sidewalk of a residence that was not mine.   You would think that at some point, the driver would have looked at the delivery address after they kept throwing box upon box at this location with no shelter from the elements.  They didn't even knock on the door to inform the residents that massive 65+ pound boxes were left all over their walkway.  Nope.  Just dumped them, took a photo as they were walking away and left.   I wonder what the person who found all of those misdelivered boxes must have been thinking when they saw them.  Maybe they kept everything to use, distribute or sell.  No idea.  No claim was filed on that end as of yet.   Fortunately for me, one of the sites that I ordered from, replaced everything at no extra cost.   Unfortunately, now I'm concerned for the other items yet to be delivered.   Needless to say, I'll be watching my notifications like a hawk.

      ~~~~~ Yeah, thank you for the check-in.   Happy to say it was all a misunderstanding.  But she pulled out her "ghetto" and that's when things went South.  I get very professional minded when I enter into situations like that because when someone starts bring the court into conversations, I'm in court 2 times a year, every year, so don't go there with me because I will get legal all over you.   She did try to change what she thought she might have said, but I had to call her on it because it's all in written text.  Then she apologized and we were able to have a decent conversation.   I know I joke about me talking so much that people don't hear what I say except for keywords that they are looking for, but that is exactly what happened here.  She heard "payment", "money" and "help out".  It was crazy.  I literally had to have the entire conversation all over again, but I definitely condensed it to only address those 3 words.   Things are back on track, but I emphasized that if she every needed clarification for anything, please say something first instead of jumping to conclusions, then questioning that conclusion, then answering that conclusion, then getting upset at the answer and taking it out on someone who doesn't have a clue what the San Juan Hill just happened.   But this is exactly the reason I do everything with a paper trail.
