i think phee interpreted the "is it dead yet" as referring to the dcc board, when i believe thedark was refering to this particular topic/flame war... simple misunderstanding. (correct me if i'm wrong please) =)

While your fisting thread in the sexuality forum is extremely amusing to me for several reasons which i am sure were not intended, i have yet to read anything all that informative or interesting.

From what i understand, most of you aren't even from detroit.

In spite of my rather inflammatory opinion of your site (which is actually completely understandable given the threads on these forums, i mean seriously, could you kiss eachothers asses a little more?) this is a serious question, what makes your posts more worthwhile than ours?

I know for most of your regulars this discussion will consist mostly of "shutting the fuck up" (which, by the way, is a brilliant strategy in this instance), but for the small number of you that actually have big gums worth flapping, humor me and answer the fucking question.

First of all, just like at DCC, I'm sure we're talking METRO Detroit, not just within the City limits when we say Detroit (and I live right by WSU, so don't give me any crap).

Second of all, if you don't like it, don't look at it. YOU are the one who typed detroitgothic.net into your browser, not anyone else. It was your choice to come here and read about us 'kissing ass'. No one is forcing you to do anything that you don't want to do. If you do not find DGN to be up your alley, then type in a different URL.

Thirdly, I don't think either of the boards is more "worthwhile" than the other. People may prefer one board over another because they see more topics that interest them on one board, or there are particular people that they get along with better on that board. You seem to take the opinion of one or two people on this board and make it seem like everyone here feels that way, and that's just not the case.

This all for fucking entertainment, after all. Nothing here or at DCC is truly that meaningful, and it won't affect my RL. This is something to do to pass the time, and to keep in contact with people I meet at CC. It's nothing more than that.

And in regards to the PM to Jesi, that racist son of a bitch is NOT a representative of DGN or of DCC. That fucktard is on their own and I think it is really unfair for some people to blame the entire board for that. The DGN admins are trying as hard as they can to figure out what's going on with that situation, but without some uber-tech, it's hard to figure out exactly where this shit head is. Unless we start asking for a soc # when you create a username, this unfortunately is going to be a problem. The internet is pretty damn anonymous.

(On a sidenote: Jesi, I'm sorry that you had to go through all that shit with that guy. You know I'll always think you're beautiful, and I've got your back!)

To sum up: No one forces anyone to go to DCC or DGN. Post whereever you like, just don't bitch about it. And don't blame an entire group of people for one person's attitudes.
