bean
I thought I went to City Club, but it seemed as though I was in some frat boy bar. I should have known better. I felt completely out of place there last night. The music was decent, but the dance floor was 80% obnoxious, so didn't dance much as I kept getting plowed into by drunken dimwits. The only good part of my night was chatting with DGN'ers such as Nienna, Msterbeau, Tszura, Prick, Darque Metallion..if I'm forgetting anyone, I apologize. Msterbeau
Seemed a little slowish/blah-ish but I danced for a good long while and talked a bit with others so it wasn't too bad.
Nienna
I got in some good dance time early before the Douchewave. I'm with Bean Water though. For the most part it was a frat party and I was underwhelmed. The energy was VERY off, and I felt very sapped. I was out the door just after 2. Sorry I just sort of bolted. I was done. taysteewonderbunny
I didn't show up at CC until about 2:30/3:30; most of the togas must have cleared out after last call. Had a good time over all, but was beat by 5 (had a good deal to drink yesterday and was on my feet for ten hours in brand new boots), so just booked. Sorry I didn't say goodbye to folks. Was tired. Saw Skyfire, Eleven, StormKnight, Msterbeau, Genevieve, Prick, JaXson, Ivy Cat and Ice Queen, all of whom were also in attendance at Sinister Circus Dementale earlier in the night. Also saw Fin, ~Tzsura~, Nightgaunt, PapaJeff, Tanuki1985 (why didn't we dance, lovely?), Darque Metallion and DarkChylde. Think I saw Riku, Sexslavetrainer and misskitty, but not sure. Saw Gimp in passing (you looked so stressed! Wish I stuck around long enough to have given you a back rub; you prolly needed one.) Sorry if I missed anyone. Loves to you all. Leland City Club
I knew the Toga Party theme would appeal to the frat boy crowd. There were NO FRAT boys in TOGAS last night. There was a small group of friends who were TOGA attired, celebrating a 21st Birthday at City Club. The TOGAS were amazing by the way. Great care was put to making them colorful and FUN. MANY regs were heard to say that they very much liked the idea of a TOGA party and they liked the creativity it took to put them together in a completely un-frat-like-way. There were no more "tourists, douchebags" then on any other night. Some of the out of town people who drove for hours through the rain enjoyed the night. Your DJ's Jon Noble and S@in+ spun a night that kept our Guests dancing till 5:30am, thanks guys ! ! ! Special thanks to those people who we havent seen in too long, don't be strangers, we miss you. Thank you to everyone who came out and had FUN with Friends, in or outta TOGAS ! ! ! And THANK YOU to our BAR and SECURITY staff for getting us drunk and keeping us safe ! ! ! Leland City Club
translation: who you gon' believe - me, or your lyin' eyes? CORRECTION for those of you who were not there: There were 4 people in TOGAS celebrating a very special birthday, the place was not packed with toga wearing Frat boys. I can't wait to see all of those people who liked the idea, and said they would do it, actually do it next time. That is going to be a very good night indeed. Msterbeau
I hardly saw any togas or rude touristy types. I think you guys were imagining things this time. Or maybe I was.
Fin
I actually had quite a lovely time. Saw: SkyFire The Gimp MstrBeau NightGaunt (waiting for screenplay, bud) Nienna Eleven (let's DANCE!!) Tanuki Tszura Prick IceQueen TasteeWonderBunnee DarkChylde DarqueMetallion Riku StormKnight Stymie (been awhile!) Stymie's nice friend Liz BeanWater--were you there? Glimpsed, perhaps Had a blast dancing away. Inebriated but happy. Will add more as the memories come back to me.... One non-DGN woman, quite attractice, kept passing me by in the main hall & gently tapping my butt as she passed. I was sorry she did not stop to introduce herself as I was not entirely disinclined to aquiesce to her request. xo Fin

It was the rude touristy types that I was apparently hallucinating that were the problem.
prick
I dont know why but unlike everyone else I really had fun talking to my DGN family. I do think there were too many frat boy types though.

I had a great time talking to people. It just seems like the crowd is getting increasingly full of frat types. We're getting a really icky influx of very drunk and very aggressive men who make very unwanted and very uncomfortable advances. That and they get wasted and play pinball on the dance floor. It's stopped being fun for me, because 50% of my night has to be spent monitoring for and dealing with the actions of these assholes. I am not exaggerating or being dramatic! It's just true! Fin
We're getting a really icky influx of very drunk and very aggressive men who make very unwanted and very uncomfortable advances. That and they get wasted and play pinball on the dance floor. My suggestion would be to dance in close proximity to larger DGNer's (eg. NightGaunt) or scarier ones (eg. me, Rev, etc.). I know you shouldn't have to, but I guarantee your unwanted hits decline in quantity. Also, Gimp keeps his eye out for us when he's not on door-duty. Just give him the secret sign. Is that the point and gag? I will have to become your dancefloor buddy because it's gotten pretty out of hand in the last month or so.
bean
I dont know why but unlike everyone else I really had fun talking to my DGN family. I do think there were too many frat boy types though. I dont make the large and scary list?? *pouts* I assure you I am here to protect and be served.. I really didn't get to spend much time in the club, but I was there, thanks ms wonderbunny for noticing. My night was pretty good, introduced some newbies, and got to know some new friends a little better. The only down side was the psycho bitch that tried to attack Kacey... Thankfully I was there to keep it under control, and the individual was promptly ejected. It always amazes me that girls get mad at other girls that their boyfriend is trying to hit on. I mean come on people, I am 2 feet from my wife when this guy is trying to hit on her, which didnt bother me. Yet his girlfriend, probably of about 2 days, has to start shit cause me stress because she's an insecure psycho.
~Tszura~
Nightgaunt and I had a fun time We did see the obnoxious frat boys, and the annoying sloppy drunk chick in the white shirt that kept telling people, (in her best Harvey Fierstein voice) "Hey, get in the circle, and show us a dance! We want to learn how to dance!" **Tszura hold head in hand, shaking** hahahahahahaha! While annoying, I guess she did provide some good laughs for us Despite the fratties, and sad drunk girls, being able to visit and laugh with our DGN family made the night a good night for us! Big hugs to everyone we saw!!: Prick, Stymie , Liz (Stymie's friend), Riku, Msterbeau, Hunhee, Burrich, Stormknight, Nienna, Bean Water, TasteeWonderBunny, DarkChylde, DarkMetallion, Tanuki, Eleven, and IceQueen. Spook! Were you there? Sorry we missed you!!! We also seemed to have missed SkyFire, SexSlaveTrainer, and Gimp~who it sounds like had a sucky night :( Sorry dude! Thanks for keeping us safe!! We owe you! Hope to see everyone out soon! **Muwah!**
n0Mad
Spook! Were you there? Sorry we missed you!!! No, I wasn't. I was so exhausted from the Sinister Circus Dementale plus I had to substitute teach a Sunday school class in the morning so I gave City a miss. Just a pondering though ... Why do frat boys have toga parties? Fraternities are Greek organizations and the toga is a Roman clothing article. The similar Greek garment is called a chiton (pr: KITE-ahn). So, fraternities should have chiton parties.

Ice Queen (1)
I showed up long after last call and after a great performance by all at the Works for Sinister Circus Dementale with my favorite escort. I talked to quite a few of you during the brief time I was there and even managed to dance to one song. It was a great time for me, I was on a high from being on stage and in great company. I forgive you Fin
