I need someone who can make a light sculpture of sorts

Recommended Posts

For my band d:konstruct, I want to take the logo and create a 6 ft light tier rig for onstage. I want to connect the lights right on the logo. I'm thinking it could be made out of some kind of metal with a sturdy base. Another idea would be to put together a 6 by 10 detachable wall with the logo and 2 Flatscreen TV's, one on each side to show videos on stage. Can anyone build this for me and what would the cost be?

The logo can be found here: http://www.myspace.com/dkonstruct2009

Check into this stuff, and DIY, dear. I've helped do a few motorcycles up for parades and festivals, with it. :)http://www.fiberopticproducts.com/El_wire.htm

It's lightweight, relatively low-cost, and is safer than traditional ballast lighting.

You can also get a light-to-sound driver, and have your sign synchronised to the music.

Fiber optics are nice but working with flexible LED tubes and neons can be cheaper. Also, LED lights and neons are easier to "shade" of change colors with controllers or small resistors if you want a 3D look. A frame could be easily made with the help of a hardware store like ACE.

These guys have everything you need...

No problem. If I lived closer I would gladly do this for you, I have a ton of recycled materials that, with their aged look, would add an awesome element to what you want. If you deadline is far enough away I might be able to pull something off...but that all depends...
