An idea for a benefit concert

So I was talking with our new keyboardist for d:konstruct the other day and we were thinking about getting a bunch of people together for a benefit concert of sorts. We would like to gather a lot musicians together, maybe other acts, events, etc and put on a huge benefit party somewhere. I would like to do something either for the homeless or child safety. What can we do? Where could we have it? Who would like to be involved? It would take a team of people to organize this of course.

Any interest?

thanks,

robert

I think it's a great idea, I just don't know how well it's going to work with the economy right now.

It would work...I have really started to notice that the news says one thing and people are doing something else. I have yet to see a major drop in people doing anything yet.

Man, its possible, and I would suggest calling a few local organizations to see what advice they can give. We did something with the humane society once and they helped us out a bit...see it there is anything local and give it a try. I hear that Relay for Life is going on...not that you would play THERE but a little partnership could probably work.

Thanks. I want to do something in the Metro Detroit area while gathering together local artists in this scene. If anyone else has suggestions, please leave feedback. The more feedback we have, the better!
