Say for example if we go to a place where its normally 4 to get in and everyone pays 15 thats about 10 per person for dgn

Also that's a great idea, however Troy would need to be there to collect the money personally. Also people who donate that way wouldn't get the benefactor status on their profile unless everything was clearly marked and Troy worked the door personally.

Better idea is discounts at the door for an existing night and just have them donate the money saved to the club. Even better is just donate anyway.

Well I figued sense a place stayed open on a night there not met to the club might need the extra dollar to pay the empolyes sense I reckon it would not be as busy. I just figured it help and be fun for everyone also

In a broad sense, not necessarily just about any one particular idea: They all require someone to "take charge"of the idea and make sure it goes off properly. Due to health issues I can't guarantee I can be *anywhere* much less guarantee once I do get someplace I can stick around (might get too sick to "tough it out" once I'm there) I can "do DGN" itself since there is plenty of wiggle room in terms of when I do things. There are mods around, so even if i disappear into the hospital for 4 months, at a minimum they can tow the line. I can't get away with that at a real-life time-specific "event".

Why don't we make it simple. We already have another possible benefit event and City Club might do another DGN night. Plus, there are other events which many of us attend (Dead-Line Wednesdays, Ritz on Thursdays, Lily's April 2nd)--why don't attending mods just take up a cash collection at these events and send money orders to Troy?
