So...North Korea gets it's own ICBMs...

Recommended Posts

I am not even going to post links here. I have seen enough of the photos, videos, and rhetoric. People are praising North Korea for this development, I have no clue why, while they are bashing countries like the US for having such a thing.

Go...discuss this shit...if you haven't heard or have just heard about this please go educate yourself first...

The Taepodongs keep blowing up on the launch pad or blowing up thirty seconds after launch. These things certainly are missiles, and they certainly are ballistic, but they really, really, REALLY are not intercontinental.

Yet.

The "yet" part was yesterday. Mobilization of South Korean and Japanese troops and heavy naval patrols took place this morning. Chinese units have been moved towards the North Pyungan Province and North Korea has relocated the rest of its reserve units to its postitions on the DMZ. Even Russian is concerned with the recent developments and has mobilized its Northern Fleet along with moving some of its artillery divisions towards the Magadan Region.

Even if they are failing consistently...their failed efforts are going towards a really, really bad end.

Does anyone else realize how fucked up North Korea is? I mean, is it widely understood that the entire country's population is under complete government control? Those poor citizens over there can barely think for themselves because the government controls every piece of media and news that they see/hear. They're brainwashed to whatever Kim Jong Il wants them to believe. It's sad. And it's going to be a huge problem in the next 10 years. I guarantee we have major issues with that country in the very near future. Not just some supposed ICBM that has a "satellite" mission. Right. And I'm Elmer Fudd.

Your uncle just..... snuck in...to North Korea???????? O.O

Yeah, just snuck in. At least that's what he said. I have no reason to doubt him.

It's not like N.K. is surrounded by a magical shield or anything... just a deadly one if you get caught.

No, no magical shield.. but the only way into NK from SK is across the DMZ... There is something along the lines of 23,000 US troops one side side and roughly 600,000 NK troops on the other side.. all pointing their guns across the 2.5 mile wide open area. Now, I have read that people have managed over the years to tunnel under the DMZ to escape from the north or to smuggle food/medicine to the north... (I'm pretty sure that they keep those secret from outsiders such as an American tourist)

Never heard of anyone just walking across the most heavily militarized border in the world before though.

Anyone else think Scary's uncle paid a visit to the Unification Observatory and saw a radio there?

Sorry, I mean, it is possible that he legitimately ended up in North Korea somehow, but I don't think we can be blamed for thinking there could be something more (or less...) to the story.

That said, these days it is possible to actually arrange a trip to actually legitimately visit inside actual North Korea - not in the 3rd infiltration tunnel underground which stops JUST SHY of North Korea (the closest in actual distance you can get to North Korea without a super special visa)...but I believe it is nearly impossible for an American to get one of these visas. I know someone who did go, a friend of one of my best friends, but she is Australian.

Gah, I always forget...BB code, not HTML!!! D:D:

I believe he went in a tunnel. He's one of those delusional christian missionaries. Which it's great they give aid and all, but they should really keep their delusions to themselves. Like I said I have no reason to doubt him though.
