Atmsophere presents Depeche Mode CD Release Party for Sounds of the Universe

Join us April 23 for Atmosphere, our Monthly DJ event in Downtown Detroit.

This is a unique event, not to be confused with generic club nights around town.

Proof is a laid-back Martini lounge with a beautiful view of Downtown Detroit. Enjoy delicious drinks, the friendly waitstaff, the conversation of good friends and most importantly, the music you hold near and dear to your heart; The Cure, New Order, The Smiths, Massive Attack, Sneaker Pimps. Lamb, Hooverphonic, Peter Murphy, Clan of Xymox, Cocteau Twins, Slowdive, Catherine Wheel, Ride and newer sounds like M83, Crystal Castles and White Lies.

We will also be holding the Detroit release party of Depeche Mode's 13th CD. Sounds of the Universe. We will preview the new album and offer lots of swag and drawing giveaways.

Ha...good question. No, but they have huge glass windows that run the perimeter of the building and you can see the City from the inside.

I should check this out. Used to listen to Big Sonic Heaven on the radio and Atmosphere seems like it has that same approach.

You are spot on Joey. Atmosphere is an offshoot of the Aural Bliss show on Auralgasms Radio (Sun nights 10-Midnight) which was a direct result of BSH leaving Detroit.

Update on swag and givaways...

We will preview the new album and offer lots of swag (including Posters, Stickers and Window Clings) and a grand prize drawing for a Deluxe DM Box Set.

The Deluxe Box Set contains the Sounds Of The Universe album CD, a second disc including brand new bonus tracks and remixes of new songs and a third CD with an exclusive collection of demos, from both the new album and songs from throughout Depeche Mode's career.

The Box Set DVD includes three films, the promo video for first single Wrong (directed by Patrick Daughters), the album and five bonus tracks in 5.1 surround sound, plus four songs filmed live in the studio in December 2008.

Packaging / additional content:

2 piece custom made box with foil blocking.

2 x 84 page hardback books:

The first featuring the lyrics to all the songs from the Sounds Of The Universe sessions accompanied by exclusive photography by Anton Corbijn.

The second featuring exclusive and candid studio photography by Daniel Miller, Ben Hillier, Luke Smith and Ferg Peterkin.
