Homicidalheathen
For pickups...I know some guys think prostitutes are 'expendable' but he bashed a lady in the head, this could happen to anyone who goes on a date to a private local with a stranger. SHERRILL, N.Y. -- In the neighborhood where he grew up, people today said they were shocked that authorities have charged Philip Markoff as the Craigslist killer. In their recollections, he was a nice, smart boy with loving parents. "All of them were terrific people. It's unbelievable. I don't know, I don't have a bad thing to say about them," said Dorothy Guider, 53, who said she was friends with Markoff's mother, Susan Carroll, and his stepfather, Gary Carroll, when they lived in the neighborhood. "They were loving and caring people. They would do anything for anybody," She described Markoff as "intelligent, very intelligent, sweet, nice." "If he made a mistake – or who knows what happened? – it's just sad," she said. The comfortably middle-class neighborhood on Thurston Street consists of about 20 homes, Colonials with two-car garages built about 20 years ago. The Carrolls lived in the neighborhood until about four years ago when they split up, neighbors said. A man answering the door at Gary Carroll's house in another part of town told a reporter, "I have nothing to say. I don't even want your card." The executive director of the Oneida Community Mansion House in neighboring Oneida, the apartment building where Susan Carroll lives, said she was unavailable. Terry Law, another neighbor on Thurston, taught Markoff in first grade and remembered, "He was smart, very smart. Good at math and science." "They found a semiautomatic, they said on TV today. Oh God, he was a skinny, little towhead blonde boy in my class," she said. Markoff's high school yearbook showed that he was an honors graduate who was in the history club and on the golf team. He also had been a member of the bowling team, according to other yearbooks. He listed his future plans as "Major in pre-med at SUNY Albany." And he said his favorite saying came from a "Mr. Morris" and was "Go play in traffic." In a section where seniors were allowed to leave their own personal messages, Markoff wrote, "I bequeath my poker playing skills to Andy Finley, so he won't lose his dad's house." http://news.google.com/ go watch the video...he was described as a 'clean cut medical student'

jynxxxedangel
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pm2r_rvRSA8 Look at the comments underneath this clip. I find them to be very offensive, very insensitive, and very disturbing-- equally as disturbing as this murder. A woman is DEAD, and several were robbed, and all these wastes of space can do is make sick, rude comments. What's WRONG with people??? Who cares what these women were doing to make a living-- aside from the fact that it put them into a compromising position?! Murder is MURDER. Rather than being concerned about a murderer in the midst of Boston's population, all some sick, ignorant people can do is criticise this dead woman's lifestyle, and pass crude, IGNORANT judgment upon her. They may as well have turned the proverbial "knife" into the murder victim, themselves. I wonder if they would be leaving these same dreadful comments, had it been their mother, sister, or dear friend who was killed or robbed? Aside from being an invaluable source of information, the internet is a sick, sick, sick, sick, SICK and ugly fucking place. No place for unsupervised children, half-wits, milquetoasts, or "masseuses" who advertise in classified ads, and don't carefully screen clients. And people wonder why I don't like to read the news, or YouTube comments-- and why I find myself hesitating to comment upon certain subject matter on forums. The general public is SO insensitive. All that having been said, the moral of the story is (although everyone is taught this as a child, many people from many different walks of life have forgotten it): DON'T GO WITH STRANGERS. This advice is especially profound, with the advent of the internet. There are some sick puppies out there who want to rape, rob, or kill you.....as well some insensitive, ignorant people who will not mourn your disappearance and/or passing. Homicidalheathen
I guess thats the point I was trying to make. Personally I have nothing against prostitution...except that its illegal. It should be legal so it can be monitored like drugs. This is often more a crime of opporotunity so it could be ANYONE of us. The other night I had something very scary happen...I was doing a ritual alone in a park at 2am. Its the attitude thats bad. People assume if your out after dark in a park wearing a robe your a satanist and deserve whatever you get? Same thing. I finally saw a clip on youtube about Grand theft auto where the street girls get robbed and shot after conducting buisness... this idea is just way to common place these days. Enishi
My own personal pet theory is that many people who are otherwise stable have their own inner flaws which, when you you throw exciting and seemingly secret, consequence free activities like the internet or meeting up in secret into the mix, causes people to go off the deep end. Homicidalheathen
just heard a story about a guy who showed up at someones house and tried to rape her after meeting her on facebook. jynxxxedangel
Apparently, the suspect, who is now in police custody, is a young, clean-cut medical school student. His alleged M.O.? He has a gambling addiction, and was robbing women to support it. The murder was supposedly a botched robbery; the victim having been killed, when she tried to escape from the wrist restraints he had put on her. Who knows how many other women he victimised, before he was caught? I'm quite certain there are more than just the ones who came forward. He preyed upon people who aren't likely to bring the police into the matter, as not to out themselves. I can't believe his fiancee is standing by him. What a stupid c**t. He's obviously violent, has a serious gambling addiction, and is no good. Edited April 23, 2009 by jynxxxedangel
pomba gira
This is why I never had the guts to work in the sex industry... I would be terrified of being targeted by some sick fuck. I admire women who have the courage to make a living that way. And anyone who thinks prostitutes are "expendable" or "deserve whatever they get" can kiss my black ass, as the saying goes. Those women are someone's daughters, sisters, mothers just like the rest of us. Hopefully that waste of space will end up in prison with a relative of one of the women he victimized. jynxxxedangel
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,517595,00.html This guy sounds like a really dangerous creep. He kept the murder victim's knickers (keeping trophies is usually a sign of a serial sex offender). It's also come out that he tried pushing himself on a female student at his university. I'll bet the deeper they dig, the more they'll find on this guy. His fiancee still thinks he's innocent, which is probably why he asked her to marry him. She'd make a perfect idiot wife, who wouldn't ask too many questions about what he's been up to. Women like that should be arrested as accomplices-- as they're usually the first to see the signs, and the last to admit to themselves, and the police, that something just isn't right. Homicidalheathen
Good thing they got this guy before he got more. Hillside strangler stories quote: '3. Appearance of "Steve." "Steve" was seen in full bloom, out of trance. He was very crude and nasty, using the word "fuck" in every sentence. He lunged at Johnson, who was operating the video camera behind my right shoulder. He talked about Ken in the third person, constantly putting him down. He freely admitted to strangling the two local victims cause I hate fuckin' cunts." He committed the crime, he said, to get Ken out of the way, so that he could control the body full-time. He further admitted to killing four of the Hillside Strangler victims and watching his cousin, Angelo Buono, kill the other five victims. He denied there were any others like him inside Ken. When I called for Ken and put my hand in front of his forehead, "Steve" slumped into his chair and was replaced by a very tired Ken.' from here: http://www.dissociation.com/index/published/bianchi.txt http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenneth_Bianchi
dragonluv
I am not saying it right what the fiancee is doing. But to me it sounds like a domestic abuse women. I volunteer at a domestic and sexual abuse shelter. I have heard stories of the clients. These are clients who are from all types of backgrounds. Women with just high school diploma to women with PH D. I have heard from clients that they knew their partner was evil but could not leave. I do not think it fair to pass judgement on this fiancee without knowing if she is a victim of domestic abuse. To me, she sounds she like she is. Domestic abuse is an ugly monster. How can society judge someone who without knowing all the facts? I had a friend who was killed a few years ago by her abuser and she never saw his evil. She was smart and beautiful and a new mom. She did not deserve to die!!!!!!!!!!! It was not her fault. I am getting choke up. I need to end this talk. I need to log out out.
jynxxxedangel
I was young, smart, beautiful, and trusted someone more than I should have...ONCE. Then he beat me one too many times. You don't want to know what I did, after I snapped. Perhaps it might turn your stomach, Pollyanna. The "Now Me" would have just gotten up in the middle of the night, not even another word said, grabbed all I could get, and left. The "Younger Me" did a terrible wrong, that could have NEVER made a right. Even so, he shouldn't have started in on me, while I was chopping onions for supper with that Regent Sheffield chef's knife. It's a wonder I'm not sitting in a prison cell, banging a tin cup on the bars, and playing a harmonica. I grew up in an abusive home, and I've been an abused woman, myself. Any woman who can't DRAG her own ass OUT, is WEAK, and just as sorry as the scumbag who comes home and beats or tears her down, every day. So she never had a positive male role model to learn what true male love is....? So she's SO GOOD, that she just TAKES it.....? FUCK THAT. She needs to suck it up, get her HEAD outta her ASS, and WISE UP. Just because some asshole says, "I love you," doesn't mean you need to take a beating (or verbal abuse) each day. If you saw how much your mom hurt, when she got beaten or abused, you should KNOW better NOT to pick a guy who's gonna beat YOU down, physically or mentally. I took my lumps, and I still bear the scars. Then, I WISED UP. As I have often said, the world (and the internet) are ugly places. Thank goodness SOME people come out intact. I certainly hope this man's fiancee hasn't been abused; if she has been, I can only hope she sees beyond it, and fights for her own life, and those of others-- with her words of truth, and with her own inner strength. *this has been a public service announcement* P.S. Add this post to the "THINGS I DIDN'T WANT TO KNOW ABOUT JYNXXXIE" file. Another old ghost out of my head, and I'll sleep a bit more soundly, tonight. I wonder how he sleeps. Why would she carry large amounts of cash on her when she was supposed to get paid for sex?

jynxxxedangel
Yeah, I'm wondering if he had actually been watching those women throughout the day. Perhaps he would see them first (to find out what rooms they were using), then skulk around until later in the day, to rob them.
