Enishi
At this point in time we can only speculate. I wonder myself if the bankers and other elites aren't going to be able to just get away with golden parachutes like they probably planned. Onyx
ah, shouldn't post before I click, didn't realize it was that fella's suicide. I can't say I know the whole story, but have to wonder if there's not even more he was hiding. hmm... Shocking but sad that he couldn't deal. peelingchrome
I'll agree that things look like he was hiding something or just felt really bad about a lot of things. Maybe this is totally unrelated to work. Maybe his SigOther was cheating on him or something. And (just to steal some loony thunder) maybe this was a plot by those who are mad about the bailouts and are trying to frame someone. I dunno, anything's possible at this point. I like what-ifs, though - they keep the mind sharp. No fantasy is ever as strange as reality, so I see it as a good mental workout. Any other ideas? prick
Also a chance that he snapped without any connection to his position. It does happen without any known reason.
Scales
Very sad. If it was a suicide it immediately seems a case of an egocentric identity crisis. Some people lose themselves when they lose their "success." That's a guess.
TitsMcGee
Coming from someone who has lost two people to suicide, I feel horrible for this man's family. All anyone can really do is speculate on the reasons he had though, unless he left them in a note. There could be any number of reasons. I just hope it wasn't a family member that found him. Some people lose themselves when they lose their "success." That's a guess. Very well put. (would have taken me a huge paragraph and still wouldn't have been that clear). Power and money sometimes end up a curse when one doesn't realize a person's life encompasses more than all that and are just as valuable as a person without them. ttogreh
He was from Bay City. I guess the most logical answer is that he couldn't face the work any more, but didn't know how to say that to anyone. He had a five year old daughter.
