1) carnival/flea market rides

2) "throwback-era" mounted police steeds

3) pulling carriages for royalty/WWE wrestlers

4) Flintstones-style construction equipment :jamin

as fascinating as it is, that they think they can do this... the things died out for a reason, and its no where near the climate needed for such beast to be comfortable.. it is WOOLLY, after all... also, most of its food is extinct, as well.. I'm sure there's something, today, that is related to the plant life, but who's to say it won't make the animal unhealthy, or have what it needs... it died out for a reason... resurrecting one animal, to watch it, in an environment that its not even native to, anymore, in hopes to gain some insite into the day and life of one, is just stupid... study the dead ones, but leave the damn things dead...

Such little faith in science you have... ironic

It's not so much science that I don't have faith in. I think that if there was a valid reason to recreate a mammoth, and it was made a huge priority, that, for better of worse, scientists could eventually come up with a reasonable elephant-mammoth hybrid.

It's scientists who have no reason to recreate a mammoth other than to proverbially "play-god" and create a Jurassic Park-esque mammoth exhibit to line their pockets that I have little faith in.

Better than then being paid by the pharm companies to jack up studies in their favor. Junk science is called that for a reason.

Very true the Big Business Pharm companies need to be shot down anyway for all the shit vacines and lifes they ruuin. Lets get nock those Thymerosol using pigs down a peg or two. If you don't know what Thymerosol is it's a preservative used in vacines to give them a longer self life. The problem is it's poison! It contains mercury. They have vacines with out that in it but they cost more and why would they a do the right thing when there's money to be had. Many kids go blind, have their brains pickled, ect., but you dont hear about it cause pharm companies buy alot of ad spots in the media. I dont see the point of bringing the mamoth back , when so many other things could be fixed first. I know they could but there is no point in it at this juncture in history. I personally would bring back L. Ron Hubbard so I could kick him square in the balls!
