Looks like S.A.M. may not be the opener. :cry It was first announced they would be, but VNV sites have the dates listed with the openers being Wartapes...AND JUST ADDED Ayria. Was really looking forward to seeing SAM. May just skip this one altogether...

I know, I was really looking forward to seeing S.A.M.

This should be a good show. I know I've missed the the last two times they have come to town.

Found out Saturday that the Hot Topic in Oakland Mall is having a meet and greet. I find it a little odd, but it should be pretty cool.

Yeah, the manager of the Bay City Hot Topic came over and told me about the meet and greet. I said "I am not driving down to Detroit twice. Oh, I already met Ronan and Mark anyway!" =P

But I'm making sure that I bring my CD, a marker, and some spending money (( water and t-shirt )).

Ok I still have a couple of questions. Is this show at St. Andrews or the Crofoot? Ticketbastard, the vnv site, etc. all say St. Andrew's.

Also, I bought my tix on that artistarena site where do I pick them up?

You pick it up at the will call window at doors open at St. Andrews. You need ID and the confirmation number.

You shouldnt need the confirmation number, they just ask for your ID.

I had order 4 tickets to see Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson in Ann Arbor and they didnt ask for the confirmation number, just a driver's license.

keep this in mind, everyone: the Detroit Tigers are playing at home this weekend (and it's a 7PM start), so parking's going to be somewhat tricky.

update: I just checked the People Mover schedule; it's running 'til 2 AM on the weekends now! park at the Leland, take the PM to the Bricktown Station to see VNV and take it back to CC afterwards. :) :) :)

Great advice...we NEED to show the norms that there is still a friek presence in The D...

...& that we are nicer than they heard...

This would be an awesome idea if I wasn't going to get down there so late...but it might still be a possibility. How often does it come? Looks like 9 min between the two?

Is the station near City that brightly-lit crazy looking building kiddy corner from the diner? (I'm stupid, I know...)

Barring the PM, where is good parking around St Andrews? Is it usually free? I have never been there.

A carpool might be forming in the VoD. If you want to go with me, I'll be going from my house straight there and then to City Club afterward.

I am thinking about going. Perhaps a ride from you? Wait...., um you know what I meant :wink

I guess I should see if there are tickets available still?

Holy crap! When did online ticket fees become 50% of the ticket price

rethinks...has it really been that long since I bought a concert ticket online?

I will am being stubborn now, but I will most likely end up paying it and going

I'm hoping/assuming they'll have tickets at the door. Is this a bad assumption?

I really don't know. they sold out St. Andrew's last time (on a Sunday night, no less), but there's still tix available for this one. How late is "late" in your case?

the lineup, courtesy of the Oakland Press:

VNV Nation

War Tapes

Ayria

If the doors open at 8, then Ayria will go on at 9, War Tapes about 10:15 and VNV about 11:20. Assuning that lineup's in the right order,of course.

the people mover station is indeed that building you see from the diner. as for parking around St. Andrew's, there's a number of lots and garages (which will charge $10-12), as well as free street parking. Street parking's pretty hard to come by when the Tigers are at Comerica Park, which they will be tomorrow evening.

Ice Queen: I couldn't believe that 50% fee, either. What bullshit! The fees on my U2 ticket were $19 on a $52 ticket...but that show's in Toronto. I'm going to take my chances at the box office; hopefully, I can get there before 6 PM.

*swoops in to save the day* Well, my second date canceled on me so my extra ticket goes to the lovely Ice Queen. Fortunately, my only service fee is beer.
