Homemade bikini

Recommended Posts

OK I need an idea for a homemade bikini! It can be made of any kind of materials, as long as it's not a store-bought bikini. I am thinking maybe duct tape, with punk/goth accessories? Someone suggested gummy lifesavers but seems like that could get messy. Ideas please!

I've done the duct tape one..years ago. I wore it with my Red Green suspenders, and won the contest. ;)

It's easy to do; just cover a second-hand swimsuit with the tape, rather than trying to stick it to your skin.

P.S. be sure to cover the ties, as well.

Here's another idea for you...

Make a top that looks like two birds' nests, and paint your cans to look like ostrich eggs. :stuart:

I was gonna to do something like this for the Bunarchy, but we didn't end up going.

UGH! That raw bacon bikini is GROSS. Visions of trichinosis are dancing through my head. The thought of cold, raw pork laid over my bubbies, is nothing short of repulsive!

chain mail!!

Ice Queen has a chainmail outfit. I think you should model it for me since you brought it up. :p

How about rope? Get Scott to help with the knots.

How about string bottle caps together? Metal ones. The tops of them (Smooth part) would be towards you skin. Tie them at the sides for attachment.

How long do you have? CROTCHET???

Not long enough for me to (a) learn to crochet and (b) actually come up with something wearable...

I agree. Not to mention the possibility of being attacked by feral dogs. Hell, maybe some nice lean pork wouldn't be so bad... but cold greasy bacon... eeeyew.

I really like the rope idea... but I don't think I could do it justice, so I'd need my rope tie-er there on the scene. Hmm, maybe I could find the biz card for the people who did the shibari demo at one party last year...

You do understand what wearing the chainmail entails, don't you?

Hmmm.. And I just gave it back to her after borrowing it for a shoot that never happened. Good thing she only lives a mile away now. :-)

If you're seriously interested, I think you'd make a lovely model for it. There's a headpiece as well... lemme see if I can dig up the photo she has of herself in it...

Come over here and do it. I want to learn too. I'll be borrowing your books and making zeroxes.

That would be fun. See if Chelsea or somebody wants to be your rope doll and we can have an orgy, er, shibari learning party.

Yaay! I remembered there is a couple on SLS who do very artistic, kind of humorous shibari-type stuff. Met them "in the flesh" at the last Cap City party after admiring their work for quite a while (met only, they don't swing, more's the pity). They declined to help me directly but did point me in the right direction...

on Youtube (what's the music? Is that Tool?)

by Two Knotty Boys... these dudes do rope workshops and have a shitload of how-to videos floating around.

Both look like they will definitely take some practice, but doable. Can someone recommend what type of rope is best? Neither one really mentions that. Certainly don't want something like sisal rubbing on my tender parts!

This piece on DeviantArt is utterly gorgeous, but no instructions on how to do it.

we have some of the "two knotty boys showing you the ropes" manuals and they rock!

get soft nylon rope (as in soft to the touch, rope you wouldn't mind rubbing against ur skin for a few hours) you can get it at home depot/lowes. about an inch in diameter seems to be a bit more effective, the thinner stuff is easier to learn with but if you're trying to actually cover and/or work with long lengths we like the thicker stuff
