Hello everyone! I'm Lexie. I'm a photographer. I live in an RV with Emmymau, who is around here someplace.

I finally joined DGN to better keep in touch with my Michigan people while I'm off glavanting around the country in the RV. And to be in the loop as far as what's going on in town when I am here.

Em just left for Nevada, but I'm in Michigan until the end of the month.

So hi, hey, how's it going?

Welcome. I'm a photographer and designer. Poke around here for some of my work or PM me and I'll send links. Do you have some of yours posted where we can see it? :-)

Thanks, and cool, I'd love to see some of your stuff.

I debated over linking to mine in the intro for like a whole day, lol. I'm in the process of redesigning my portfolio site [i switched my business name to something a little more commercially viable] so my shit everywhere is sort of in limbo, with old watermarks and whatnot.

But, since you asked, I'll just share the big old mess of me everywhere links:

Necto? Hmmm... If my "date" for an evening of relaxation doesn't work out... I could be tempted.

Hmm..that could work! I wasn't planning to go since I should really take the time to recover from this weekend but if you are going it could be arranged. XD

Typing's faster. ;) hahaha

Then again...I might not. I'm pretty tired after all and I have a lot of unpacking/tidying to do now. Any chance you'll be coming out on Wednesday?

I can probably swing both. I have a shoot on Wednesday. So it will depend on how that goes and how tired I am.

Hey there and welcome to your friend, Mykeamend, as well!

Hallo! I might have to see if I can make it out to that burlesque thing on Saturday at the Elbow Room. That sounds like a ton of fun.

And yes, Myke is the shit. I pointed him over here, and then realized I wasn't a member myself, lol. So here I am.

Welcome to the family, What an exciting life you live. I am so jealous!

Thank you! And we get that a lot, lol. So do a lot of the people like us [there are more of them than you would think!].

The folks over at technomadia.com have put together an informative series of "You can!" responses to the oft heard "You're living my dream, I wish I could do that!"

Even if it's not a lifestyle you would consider for whatever reason, it's a pretty fun read. [though they're sort of backwards read from the bottom up]

And right now we're loving it even more because while practically everyone we know is jobless and struggling, we have the freedom to go where there is work. We have our photography and writing careers, but we've also accepted a part time summer "workamping" job that will provide us with a spot to park free for a few months as well as pay us a wage. Not to mention the fact that it will probably be an experience.

So yeah, right now, it makes the most sense for us and we love it. It has it's pros and cons, but the ability to accept jobs like this and lower our monthly expenses drastically if we need to, is a big plus at the moment.

Imagine being able to just move your apartment into a new building, in a new place, that wouldn't charge you rent, and then getting paid to be part-time superintendent for a month or two. That's kind of our summer scenario, lol.
