pomba gira
K, wasn't sure where to post this, so mods, if there's somewhere more appropriate please put it there. This is from my stepsister who works for a Wayne State outreach program... she gets lots of announcements like this. Hope some of you can take advantage of this! Also don't know how to get rid of the stupid tags, sorry! It doesn't matter who you are or where you live, there's a good chance you know someone right now who is struggling to make ends meet. Michigan 's unemployment rate is hitting a high of 12.6 percent. Many have nowhere to turn and barely enough to feed their families. But a new program is offering a twinkle of light at the end of the tunnel. Ward Presbyterian Church in Northville Township has partnered with Southfield-based Hiller's Market to offer "Grace Groceries." It works like this: You pay $30 up front, and Hiller's Market gives you enough groceries to feed a family of four for five meals, including meat loaf, pork chops, chicken breasts, pasta and sausage and tacos. Organizers say there are no restrictions; if you eat, you qualify, no questions asked. Signup information: Ward Presbyterian Church 40000 6 Mile Rd Northville Twp. (248) 374-5912 *must sign up at church *$30 is due at signup Please pass this along to anyone you know who may be able to benefit from this.
