Oh we 100% can set something like this up.

Even just a lil forum post and a Google form would be manageable for me. My current car is ass but I can still kinda contribute :)

Not Google/Alphabet, but I was thinking a new subforum on here, or maybe a post!  Hey I can do this.  I can be the change I want to see!

It is a bit bible belt, but there's some people who are nice still. A bit few and far between but im finding where they hide (apparently its the skatepark lol)

Yes, I have heard it described as "the Michigan bible belt" which is why I tend to avoid it.  Though somehow I manage to get along unless someone chooses not to.

So, I'm trying to think of a clean way to do signups and organize cars. (Who has one available, who's looking ect)

BUT this community is small enough that we can probably get away with a forum post and a hand kept Excel sheet XD

So we don't really have to use a fancy self filling Google form and corresponding sheet in a sharable drive XD

Ugh I really should learn coding so I can back away from Google more.

Nice.  There used to be a rideboard at one point but it is unfortunately long disused.  I hope Mo is okay, she was nice.

It would be cool if DGN set up something like this.

Mo was a close friend of mine and unfortunately she passed away a few years ago, I believe it was in 2020 because it happened during lockdown, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

She did tell me about the cancer but I was hoping maybe at the very least she was still fighting.  Fuck, yet another for that list then.

Be very careful how you play it though or he can try to turn it around and get you for harassment.  The system works both ways, and it's not always in your favor.

also, my garden apron came.

What color is it and does it have anything cute on it?

I feel like most would be green but brown would make more sense if you get dirt on it.  Though white/yellow might be even better since if you start bleeding for some reason you'll notice much faster, and if it gets dirty that just means you're working hard and any stains it accumulated would just be battle scars.

Never mind, there's a pic over here.

Pic I should have expected.

The attention he wants

Just an observation, but that man seems to live rent free in your mind.

Though if he's bothering you in any way absolutely document that for any future court proceedings.  Other than that you shouldn't dwell on him any, as that's where his real power comes from. ;)

I was opening a canister of ready-to-bake biscuits.  I took the paper wrapper off and then the next layer. I set it down (On end) on the counter for a second to throw out the paper when it popped and jumped into the air a few inches.  I have never seen it do that spontaneously before and it made me laugh out loud.  😂

i decided a few yrs ago my life shud count for something

i have been a horrible influence in ppls lives

so

i snitched on like 5 dope dealers around town

ill be standing outside in 5 min if u wan make a beef bout it.

i am doing this

for YOUR kids.

I don't blame the dealers, or at  least not all of them.  They're just filling a hole in the market and some try to do that as ethically as possible.  Those that push hard drugs and sell to kids can fuck right off though.

However, it's the people who can't handle their shit who are really to blame.  Also maybe society for not explaining just how horrible drugs are in the first place.  There's a lot of glorification of that in the media and that's a problem, but that isn't going to stop because free speech.

We really need a better ad campaign to counter the mountains of crap that get spewed forth by media.  As far as anti-drug ads I don't see those anywhere near like I did as a kid.  Not that they really worked then either.  I think the reality documentaries do a better job of explaining things anyway.

Part of the reason why drugs are so bad is that people don't want to get high, they just want the pain to stop, or to just feel something again.  They just go about it the wrong way but because they are forced to.  Doctors and legal drugs are expensive while illegal street level stuff isn't.

Also the CIA giving it to inner city kids wasn't any help either.

Cool, that's not far at all, I mean it is but only by like 30-40 minutes.

If you need a sound guy/DJ I'm all about it too.

Got DJs as part of the package. I think the location will be doing sound... but not sure

This technically counts for yesterday, I got complimented by a manager at work for the hard work I did. Long story short, our walk in cooler (I work at a restaurant) lost its cooling portion of the refridgeration system. And the GM had been told mulitple times by three people (that I know of) and the internal temperature had gotten up to 60 degrees. So we lost all the meat we did ... Tuesday. GM yesterday claimed no one told her. So we had to do what we could to replace all the meat we lost. At first, when the manager started the compliment, I thought I was in trouble. It tended to happen in the past; start with a good thing to ease into the bad.

    • ~~~~~ Yeah, thank you for the check-in.   Happy to say it was all a misunderstanding.  But she pulled out her "ghetto" and that's when things went South.  I get very professional minded when I enter into situations like that because when someone starts bring the court into conversations, I'm in court 2 times a year, every year, so don't go there with me because I will get legal all over you.   She did try to change what she thought she might have said, but I had to call her on it because it's all in written text.  Then she apologized and we were able to have a decent conversation.   I know I joke about me talking so much that people don't hear what I say except for keywords that they are looking for, but that is exactly what happened here.  She heard "payment", "money" and "help out".  It was crazy.  I literally had to have the entire conversation all over again, but I definitely condensed it to only address those 3 words.   Things are back on track, but I emphasized that if she every needed clarification for anything, please say something first instead of jumping to conclusions, then questioning that conclusion, then answering that conclusion, then getting upset at the answer and taking it out on someone who doesn't have a clue what the San Juan Hill just happened.   But this is exactly the reason I do everything with a paper trail.

    • I'm glad  that yesterday's day at work is long gone now. There was a very strong unusual energy that I felt, and couldn't get done with the day fast enough. It wasn't  the job at all. I just felt like I really needed to keep my mouth shut, to keep me from getting in situation(s) that probably wouldn't have ended well for me.
    • You can trust anyone you want.  The only question is whether or not they're deserving of that trust. No risk = no reward.  As such you have to let yourself be vulnerable sometimes and realize that all people will let you down eventually whether it's intentional or not.  The frequency that it happens is what's important.
    • Sorry, I don't check this as often as I should. Anyway document everything (although it sounds like @Trene4000already has been from her post.) It's okay to cry and break down, but not in front of them.  Never give them the satisfaction of seeing you crack.  If anything I'd go out of my way to piss them off, but I don't like being that guy either (and as such I'm not very good at it, except sometimes when I'm not intending to be.) I try to only help those whom deserve it, but that's often hard to judge.  Seeing how someone treats other people is a pretty good indicator of whether or not they're worthy.  Sociopathic narcissistic asshats are very much not worthy. I hope things are going well for you guys.
