What Are You Thinking?

Wow, a family member passing is kinda like you see on TV sitcoms where the writers take a serious tone to honor someone who either passed or left the show. Everyone comes together to talk and reminisce, celebrate the life of the deceased. Hug, say your farewells, prepare for the next step in the funeral arrangements...and life goes on.

You wake up to financial responsibilities, family matters, automotive issues and preparation of notifications to account services. You do all this while walking a fine line between where your emotions are, where you don't want them to go, and wondering how soon you will breakdown. You find yourself just taking everything one second at a time all the while knowing things will get better...

Thank you.

We are planning a prayer and remembrance Obon festival / Dia de los Muertos celebration.

I am very sorry for your loss.  I saw your post before but didn't know what to say.  I am the one in my family who is forced to go numb and take care of everything when things happen.  I wish there was something I could do or say to help you feel better.

Interestingly, I currently am at peace with the passing as I had many a discussion with my mother regarding it and her take on how she felt about it happening to her months before now. I know things will be difficult for a bit handling the aftermath and serving the death certificate, but I think my main worry is that we don't mess up with any of the funeral arrangements. Our family is southern and very particular. The fact that our mother wants to be cremated has already caused some issues. Then there is the viewing. If we do not allow enough time for all the family to make it, I fear there will be dissention and bitterness.

I have been working since I was 12 years old and have never taken a sick day.  I don't think I can bring myself to call off work.  lol

Lol, dude..what were you doing working at 12? Who violated the child labor laws? Just playing though, seriously.. I was 15 when I started working. I think that's average though.

I did maintenance for my grandfather's company.  Children as young as 12 can work for a company that belongs to their family.  I mostly mowed the property around their offices and help cleaning.  I ended up running the department before my grandfather passed.  Then my father and uncle drove the company into the ground and things got messy.

Damn the neighbors are outside fighting soo early, all I heard was the chic going on about a female that she was accusing her bf of messing with at his friend's work, and he just goes, man dude get the fuck away from me before I bust your shit up!!! She was probably in his face screaming cause he's sitting there doing nothing and now his friend/neighbor is out there trying to rationalize with her and then she said something about Jesus and the bf said you don't even go to church! Seems like this is completely normal to them, he threatened her she was not phased.. Idfk. I was just seeing if he hit her or vice versa cause that's bs in either case. Damn, I couldn't be in that chaotic kind of situation with someone ever again. BS, if you really think he's fucking around just walk away and don't even say shit, arguing with him won't fix anything all it does is get you worked up, solves nothing.

Looking at your comments got me to thinking. When I was a kid, our family was approached by a newspaper distributor who was canvassing the neighborhoods for cheap laborers. I became a paper carrier at the age of 10, but was not officially signed onto the worklist payload until after my 11th birthday. Since then, I have either been employed or in school. Only after I started doing home care provider work did I get the chance to work at home.

I am hoping to work from home once I get my cage building started.  It's going to be awhile before that happens though.  I have a laundry list of tools to pick up.  Tools are so expensive anymore.  It will happen someday though.

Thinking about all the crap i have to get done before tommrow , (friday longest day for me)   Friday night MTG (trade cards, try to make some sort of profit) then Uber till I can't keep my eyes open.  Repeat the next day.    Ubers pay isn't awesome but it has a perfect "fit into my schedule setup, just turn the app on whenever, and start driving) Although Friday and Saturday are the best days, and thats about all I can take. Some money is better than no money.  Sitting on my ass doing nothing... fuck that, already feel like a big enough loser, earning makes me feel like less of one.

No wait I don't feel like a  loser, I'm... uh... Badass!!  [anyone buying this?] lol

Dude, anyone who can just turn on an app, show up at a location, pick up/drop off strangers and get paid for it...YES...that definitely invokes levels of badassness!

Everyone should come get drunk at my house and/ or we can go to karaoke down the street and around the corner from me!!! Woo hoo..

I'm not going though.. Actually, I'll probably just crash and watch TV...unless anyone wants to do something than I won't.

I would have totally gone for Karaoke but I had to work.  I tend to work every Friday and Saturday.  It seems like I am getting Thursdays off and every other Sunday off.  I close every night I work which kind of sucks but I am getting used to just coming home and watching late night tv after work.  I have this Sunday free, unless something crazy happens.

Yea but if you're like me, you probably go into sleep mode on your off days. I am kinda able to chill nearly everyday until I go back to work Nov 2nd after that I will be back in that burn out mode, living to just survive and nothing else going on besides work. Not even someone to tell about my shitty day.

Oh god..sorry..I am depressing:(
