void6
The Performance Tax Bill says radio stations all across the country should pay royalties to record labels to play music. What does that mean for you? Basically your favorite radio stations will stop playing music and many will go away because we cant afford this Heres the deal we in the radio industry really like our jobs and we dont want to lose them and im sure that you guys dont want to lose your favorite radio stations that get you through those tough days. Which in the long run means alot of people in radio broadcasting will lose their jobs and you wont be hearing the artists that you love on the radio anymore because radio stations won't be able to aford to pay the labels not even the artists, THE LABELS, money to play those songs and could mean your favorite radio station won't be around anymore!! So go to http://noperformancetax.org and read up and it and please write to your congressman and tell him you dont want this to happen! Congressman Conyers and his Industry friends are holding a town Hall meeting on the issue tomorrow at 10am. The event will take place at the Wayne state University Law School in Spencer Patrick Auditorium Detroit. Don’t let this be the end of radio, come join our staff, WCSX, WRIF, and WMGC-FM in solidarity against this unfair tax. All your favorite local Detroit radio stations will be out on site tomorrow protesting the tax bill.......so no matter who you listen to come out and save free radio!!!!!!! So please write to your congressman, show up tomorrow, or do both just please do something and dont sit back and let this happen!!!!

Scary Guy
Remember if this passes the savings gets passed on to you! Meaning more commercials and/or "news" radio stations. People won't stand for it if this passes.
