someone told me the other day that: blacks shouldn't be goth, its for whites...

SAYS WHO?

like he is, the god of goth or something sheesh.

I've met plenty in the scene, darkracer, virus-x, rayne (from the now defunct Electrophile), and a few other random people over the years at City who didn't look like they were dressing that way just to score some goth sluts (usually those people don't even bother to at least wear all black though so they're easy to spot).

I feel I can make fun of rednecks cause I come from them. Every once in awhile a bit seeps out now and then, can't help it.

kinda like how its not proper for a white person to say the n word

oh and I just wanted to add, I may have eaten dog, but not opossum...I did get an offer though, so far no rodents :w00t:

Someone above mentioned the Tennessee hills... I's got family out there.

I'm really not that racist, they shoot at them thar coons on sight, cats too. Not that I think any of them have ever seen any black people since none are stupid enough to wander into that part of the state. Hell they FOUND their house (a cabin to us folk) and MOVED it over on to their land.

remember, it's not gay if you're pitching :D Fucking hypocritical rednecks lol.

Hell a friend told me he wanted to run all the blacks out of his town. I just told him to move to Wyoming since my friend John only sees hicks there.

Most of these who follow this belief are considered rednecks, hicks, or honkies. Like I said, it is an identity thing. Most of these people are uneducated; blue collered workers; and mostly low class.

I frankly find what you said here quite stereotypical in itself. I come from a redneck blue collar family, and we're not racists. And all 4 of the children in my family have some form of college education.

And frankly, I'll be a bitch here, but if you're going to complain about uneducated people use spell checker to make sure you used correct spelling and grammar.

The civil war was 1830, almost 179 years ago....

Umm, the Civil War took place from 1861-1865.

There have been quite a few things said in this thread that were pretty bullshit...wow guys, wow.

I can sum this all up rather quickly...

White people, regardless of where their family roots lie, can all be lumped together and it just fine to hate them all as one group...you cannot be racist towards white people.

Anyone that is not considered "white" must be left alone. Also, they are allowed to take anything you say and turn it into a racist issue with the almighty "race card"...and in states where "racist" actions or comments are punishable by law they will be charged to the fullest! No, even if the person is living the stereotype in every aspect you may not even comment on anything!

There...proud white people=wrong...proud non-white people=right

Now, I don't really give a shit because this argument is pointless but rest assured that I am in no way a racist...I do hate alot of people but most of them are actually white. My friends do have southern pride but they do not even come close to fitting what could be considered a racist stereotype in the OP...who knew that normal people came out of the south?!?!

I shall now go off to be proud of my German heritage and if anyone has a problem with that I have a nice blood-sausage you can shove up your ass...

I'm not proud of any of my heritage.

I don't take pride in stuff I didn't accomplish.

I'm happy of my heritage, not proud.

Well everyone talks about pride...like the black pride parades in Madison...so thats why I said pride. I am proud of what some of my family members did and that leads me to be proud of my heritage. Being proud of something does not mean that you had to take part in it...parents could never be proud of something that their child did if that were the case. It could be the loss of pride or the twisted meaning applied to it that has led to such a shitty environment in this PC world...

QFT

Ethnicity and heritage should never be a source of pride or shame. Rather, have an appreciation for your culture.

Hell, I think I'm the only person of Mexican ethnicity in MI who doesn't place any importance on his cultural background.

Wow, Gandhi was a racist.

Dude...are you in a secret contest to see who can make up the biggest lie? or are you COMPLETELY IGNORANT as top Gandhi's view? Let me illuminate you...

Assuming leadership of the Indian National Congress in 1921, Gandhi led nationwide campaigns for easing poverty, expanding women's rights, building religious and ethnic amity, ending untouchability, increasing economic self-reliance, but above all achieving Swaraj—the independence of India from foreign domination.

...oh..that's right...you just say whatever will piss people off the most..hey, at least you enjoy your hate...it is all you have.

Excuse me? Since when is being gay acceptable by Christian standards? The Bible is pretty clear on the Christian view of gays.

Certainly not.

In JUDAISM homosexuality is an ABOMINATION.

In the NEW TESTAMENT...if you accept Christ & show love to your Brother Humans...you're COOL...

...I know...that dosen't keep the "Christian-Right" from siting that Jesus hated gays...but he really NEVER addressed it as any kind of issue....but you know..they are wrong about a whole lot of things :p

I won't dispute he did some cool stuff but he actually is a racist. I just saw it on Bullshit and there is evidence to back this up. I'll let you do your own google search or just watch the show.

Next time think to check it out before you call me a liar or ignorant.

You're really goin' to stand by that Gandhi saw peoples as anything more than people?

COOL, no, I am not searching the web for a Penn&Teller show...I might watch it..if I KNEW where it was.

P.S. Asking a question is not making a statement.

Your question WAS the statement. Here's an example of how this works.

Are you too lazy to google it yourself? Or do you just not care about facts.

See my question insinuates that you're either lazy or like to delude yourself about the truth. Just as yours insinuated that I was either a liar or ignorant. At least stand behind your statements and don't try to backpedal.

Oh yeah, just in case you are lazy I've taken the liberty of looking it up for you and everyone else here.

I am not lazy, I usually have no problem lookin' things up, I could not find what you were talkin' about..I only found the Penn & Teller website.

When you make some far-fetched claim...& want to spread knowledge, it is proper etiquette to leave a link.

I'll watch it...& go research it to my hearts content..at which point, I'll be back....& I don't think you will like it...'cause I'm pretty sure I have this one...but you know what..if I am wrong, I don't have a problem admitting it...unlike some peoples...dig it?

..what...you don't like insinuations? It is a convention in speech, it is how you communicate what you perceive...you do it as well...on a much larger scale, & often.

Lots of peoples don't like how you talk on the board either. Del with it...if you can't deal with it, get over it.
